The Shaw Club Hotel

Do not book in the rooms in the adjacent building. We thought a room with a fireplace in the middle of winter would be great, but the room was very,very tired with an old Jacuzzi tub IN THE ROOM! They tell you there is a flight of stairs you have to go up to get to the rooms,but they are very steep and narrow making it difficult to get your luggage up. The dark narrow hallway at the top of the staircase reminded us of The Shinning. If you want ice or water, it is in the other building and you either go out in the cold or ask them to get some for you - but you still need to give them the ice bucket and a tip. There is only coffee in the for you to have in the morning, but you can it can be delivered to your room - tipping again. Their main building looks nice and very modern and we did enjoy the dining room although it has very limited hours. We needed another coffee cup because of a large chip in it, but couldn't get one because the dining room didn't open until 5. Their front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating, but they are the ones that must leave their post and make the deliveries. The bathroom has no heat source, so we propped the door open with a bag to warm it up. Very, very disappointed with the room,but not the service only that you had to be tipping for things that should have been in the room.

It was a great experience. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately the fridge in our room wasn’t working so we had to leave anything refrigerated at the front desk.

The room was very quiet and in a great location to be able to walk everywhere. Everything was extremely comfortable.

We’re here in town for one night to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The Shaw Club is one of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s most quaint and well-appointed Inns. With only 30 rooms, the hotel has a very warm, friendly and personal feeling. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. Everyone we’ve encountered here today has been excellent. Rooms are cozy, comfortable and very clean. Real glassware in the room in the epicentre of Wine Country is definitely appreciated. Beds are comfortable and turned down well. Guest rooms also come with paper diaries for guests to leave notes after their visit, which is something I would have never realized was so cool, but it really does give the B&B vibe, which fits well here, even while being an actual hotel. Shaw Club has definitely secured long-term friends in us. We will return without hesitation.

Fun place. Super nice staff. Great breakfast. Bed comfy but king is two twins pushed together. Pillows are not the best-hard. Bedding is fresh and clean. Shower pressure is great. TV screen was burnt out - bad color. Not a huge deal but they should change it.

Old building, rooms have scratched furniture, not updated. Air-conditioner is noisy during night, bathroom has no heating. Overall, nothing special. Close to the main street for easy walking, on the positive side.

Terrific hotel. Nicely located and part of Vintage so we were able to take the shuttle to the Cannery for dinner. Also didnthe wine trolley tour which was great. Highly rexommend. Candace was an amazing trolley driver who is a fantastic ambassador for NOTL.

I appreciated the proximity to the Main Street and the EV charging. Unfortunately, the room (207) was drafty with cold air coming in from under the heater unit. Second the bed was NOT a kind bed but 2 twin beds joined together ! Otherwise decent room.
