Island Safari Lodge

We had a lovely time at Island Safari Lodge and found the staff extremely helpful. We had a lovely view of the river from our particular campsite. The restaurant served a very nice breakfast. We would go again if we were ever back in Botswana

Island Safari Lodge exceeded expectations with its efficient and welcoming staff, who made the stay smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The facilities are top-notch, with everything well-organized and easily accessible. The campsite was particularly impressive—well-maintained and spacious, with plenty of shade and privacy. The ablution blocks were spotless, showing a clear commitment to cleanliness and comfort for all guests. A big thank you to the team for creating such a lovely experience. If you're looking for a well-run, peaceful place to camp with excellent amenities, Island Safari Lodge is a fantastic choice!

Great Moremi one day trip and great restaurant staff. The rooms are lovely. Pool is great. Close to town. Nice food

We spent 2 nights camping at Island Safari, the sites were spacious, flat and equipped with two power sockets. Ablutions were clean and light and there was plenty of hot water, convenient access to washing up sinks. A highlight was the bar and restaurant at the lodge; a broad shaded terrace overlooking the river, dinner and breakfast were excellent and the team very friendly and efficient. The Okavango gin was very pleasant after a day in the sun. We didn’t get a chance to experience the nature walks around the lodge, but a family of kudu paid us a visit in the afternoon which was quite special. The reception team organised a mokoro trip for us at late notice which gave a chance to experience the delta at close quarters.

Very nice property with lots of activities to do. Game drive was highlight. Saw giraffes, lions, leopard with kill on ground and up in tree. Good restaurant, gardens, ambience and staff. Decent swimming pool. Highly recommend a self walk across property to see the animals/game and potential of site. Okavanga boat trip to Chief Island was cancelled due to low water. Refund was quickly organised (bank transaction took place quickly). Mokoro trips were still possible. Review is for campsite/camping. Shared ablutions is sufficient. The rooms/houses looked nice and clean. Would stay here again.

A beautiful settling, nice bar, restaurant, great game walks in their grounds. Staff were rude, hot water didn't work, no fresh towels. Had to ask 3 times for them from the staff at the front counter
