Travelodge Newquay Seafront

Great hotel with a view of the beach. Very good price when you book in advance. The hotel let us check in early which was nice too. Radiator was hot, and warmed our room after a winter surf. You have to pay £3 for Wifi though.

Drove across the country in an evening got to the hotel where I received a wonderful welcome and the most comfortable of bed. Heaven

although the building looks a bit battered by sea air and seagull droppings the inside is very good and clean. A no-nonsense hotel with clean carpets in the corridors, spacious rooms, good beds and decent curtains that keep out the early light. Super friendly staff at reception. Beware : the hotel does not have a car park! The sign next to the building saying 'Customer Car Park' is really related to the groundfloor Aldi. Parking there will result in a fine. During opening hours of Aldi you can register inside Aldi for 1.5 hours 'free parking' as an Aldi customer.

The staff were absolutely brilliant at their jobs they were all so friendly and informative of the area. They all went above and beyond while we were at our stay there. They prepared a surprise for our stay and gave us the best view in the hotel at my request. The hotel is also located in a convenient area with a Aldi downstairs and the beach few minutes from the hotel. Some areas for improvement for the hotel would be the standard of it, as the elevator smelled like cigarette every time we got on there, our shower temperature changer handle was broken and there was bird poop all over the windows, the breakfast portions could also have more variety. Overall Travelodge is an amazing affordable stay in Cornwall definitely would recommend people to stay there!

Comfy bed, delicious breakfast, clean room, lovely staff and a small well stocked bar. Perfect. What else could you want?

Over a 3 day/ 2 night period we saw 2 members of staff, the room was dirty with rust in the bath that hurt my son’s legs during his bath. Breakfast was chaos and if you’re lucky enough to not get a sea view prepare yourself to see what can only be described as a courtyard full of weeds and filth. Don’t try and look out of the windows in the hallway to see the beach they haven’t been cleaned since the Travelodge opened. For the price you pay it was extremely poor and we couldn’t wait to come home which is a first for us as we do enjoy our short breaks.

Breakfast was hit and miss, some of our stay they had no bacon, eggs or orange juice, always waiting on delivery, once we got the food it was really nice. Rooms were modernised with the refit and the bedroom view was to die for with a fantastic beach view, the windows need cleaning on the outside more often to enjoy the full potential of the views, the bed was very uncomfortable the first 2 nights I had constant back pain, I resorted to going out to buy a mattress topper to get me through, the usb on the headboard only worked if the main ceiling light was on. My opinion on the mattress situation check out premier inns you can’t go wrong with there’s ( only because I’m a supervisor for a Travelodge up North and we get the same complaints) Assistant manager Jay was absolutely brilliant an asset to the team, he went above and beyond to make sure we had a good room and to make sure it was all ready for us. Room was really nice the views of the sea were amazing, the room was very clean, the chairs in the room were so comfortable, the only problem was the fan was dirty. Martina is fantastic, she was very bubbly which in this industry goes along way, I wouldn’t mind Martina being transferred to my Travelodge to work with my team, she was very happy, smiling and very helpful, nothing was too much for her. Asta at breakfast was really good, constantly topping everything up and clearing tables, greeting all customers always a smile on her face. Puoen in the bar cafe she was amazing always smiling and laughing nothing was ever too much trouble for her, she is a massive asset to your hotel, again I wish we could take her to our hotel We loved our stayed and would definitely come back in an heart beat.

We stayed in the Travelodge Newquay Seaview hotel from 27.05.24 - 04.06.24 and our stay was excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Mariam, who checked us in. Also, Astra and Regina in the restaurant/bar were polite and friendly and, of course, other staff members whose names we didn't catch were very hepful.

Terrible hotel room looking straight into other peoples rooms I had to keep my curtains closed for the; days I was there for my own privacy no view at all very claustrophobic
