Incrível, no entanto, devo qualificar isso. Se você quer um hotel moderno classicamente 'perfeito', isso não é para você. Se você está procurando um hotel fora do padrão artístico peculiar a um ótimo preço, você o encontrou. Não havia ar condicionado, o quarto tinha apenas uma pia, banheiros e chuveiros compartilhados (sempre disponíveis para mim). A decoração é impressionante, se você gosta do estilo como eu. Móveis exclusivos. Água fria disponível (para encher garrafas) e café gratuito também estão disponíveis. Os funcionários foram invariavelmente amigáveis, assim como os convidados, e é uma ótima localização. O gato do hotel é um amor de verdade

Ficamos aqui nos últimos 22 anos em visitas a Nova York. Simplesmente o melhor lugar para ficar. Grandes salas artísticas. Ótima localização. Apenas a equipe regular mais acolhedora e amigável, sempre disposta a ajudar com qualquer dúvida. Amei ❤️🤗

O Carlton Arms é exatamente o que diz ser. Um hotel único decorado com arte original em uma ótima localização por um preço razoável. Contanto que você entenda o que está recebendo e possa transportar seu equipamento por vários lances de escadas irregulares, você vai adorar. Tínhamos um lugar seguro e limpo para dormir (com banheiro no final do corredor) por uma fração do custo de outros hotéis de Nova York. Cuidado com o gato de ataque, noivas zumbis e poetas bêbados.

Encontrei esta joia pesquisando por "hospedagem exclusiva" em Nova York e realmente se encaixa na conta. Ótimo lugar para ficar se você procura uma boa localização, uma experiência única e não quer gastar uma fortuna. Se você gosta de resorts de spa ou não se contenta com nada menos que um Hilton, isso NÃO é para você. Mas, se você está atrás de um lugar amigável com uma vibração descolada (e um gato residente) onde você pode pegar alguns Z's (se os barulhos da cidade não o impedirem de dormir), este é o seu lugar! Chegamos cedo, então apenas um quarto estava aberto no momento (eles geralmente gostam de deixar você olhar em volta e escolher seu próprio quarto), mas conseguimos fazer o check-in mais cedo e deixar nossas malas para pegar mais tarde após o check-out. Os quartos não são sofisticados, então, novamente, se é isso que você está procurando, este não é o seu tipo de hotel. Mas eles são adequados com lençóis limpos e camas confortáveis ​​o suficiente para ter uma boa noite de sono. Nota: Alguns quartos têm banheiros compartilhados. Is it worth $142 (including taxes and fees) for a Double bed + 1 twin)? It’s the cheapest accommodation we could find in Manhatten on a holiday weekend / sat night. The room we booked was for 3 persons but we had only two occupants which is just right . Might be tight for 3 if you have plenty of luggages. There is a mini fridge and sink in each room which was convenient . A public area next to reception on 1st floor with free coffee and tea in morning. Also a microwave and water fountain. So if you’re staying long term, you can save your leftovers in your room’s mini fridge and warm them in the microwave. Pro: charming, unique, interesting murals and artistic, great location (lots of restaurants!), hot water in showers, heater kept room very toasty, clean sheets, clean thick newer towels, staff is super nice (Mr Patagonia) and gave a nice welcome. Room is relatively clean, doesn’t smell. Con: it’s a hostel at a hotel price. Some rooms are better condition than others and vice versa: ie some rooms are worse. Some of the bathrooms are also slightly better condition because they were upgraded. Bedroom got too hot we had to prop open the window to cool it down. No elevator. Suggestion: 1. arrive early you might get a choice of rooms 2. Bring Flipflop (and a plastic bag for your personal stuff) for the shared bathroom 3. Save a few dollars if you book direct. We paid more through Agoda because we didn’t know. 4. Tour the whole hotel walk around every floor! 5. Don’t loose your key - no staff after midnight so you will be locked out! We had a room with walls of painted dolls that look like voodoo dolls - especially when the lights go out, their white faces reflect the ambient light - pretty spooky. We didn’t hear any noise from next door. We parked on the street - free parking on sat night to Sunday. Other days you have to pay the meter. We could have driven to queens and had a nicer hotel for the same price but then we chose location over that. One night is ok. More only if you ok with the gringiness. It’s very old and could use updates but then, if updated, you probably won’t be paying this price like other places in Manhatten.

This is what I like. I have no idea what anyone else may like, so my words are not for you. I'm talking to the Carlton Arms. I can't wait to go back. In fact, I can't wait to stay in every room, so I can see each of their interiors. That's obviously important with the Carlton, but what was even more important for me was the welcome and service we got from everyone we met in reception. Each and every person we met effortlessly bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. Just the coolest bunch of people. And the cat is the second chillest cat I've ever met. A woman I got chatting to after helping her with her bags - as she had a broken wrist - tells me it's a she called Ned, though I, her, or both of us could be wrong. Just the best value I've ever found in New York in pretty much anything. Also, rare to find something that does so much more than it says on the tin. Especially at that level of value. The Carlton Arms is likely to make trips to New York a more regular occurrence. Just the optimum level of everything - including character. Love it

I guess the best way is to describe it as an okay hostel if it was in Europe . Showers could be cleaner. Someone else who stayed there felt it was a bit creepy and there is a certain air of something dodgy. That said my experience was fine and staff were lovely. Not sure if I’d stay there again tho.

Somehow I accidentally reserved a room for three nights without checking reviews or even looking at the pictures.. instant slam by Mr Murphy. The hotel is said to be unique, buy not especially in a good way. The art was childish and not very good. Well, you don't spend a night at that kind of hotel very often, so we decided to stay. First morning we realized that there's no hooks or shelters or anything to hang or put things on. Towels remained wet and all the clothes had to keep in the baggages. We asked about that, and the kind employee said we could change a room. We however decided to keep ours cause we were said we'll get the new towels everyday and so we did. The beds were amazingly good and also pillows. Sheets were clean. But the bathroom.. it was so dirty, molded and filthy, also it smelled like a mold and it had never been cleaned. The whole room seemed like it had never been cleaned. Dust, dirt but no bugs we saw. I can rate a room with five star if it was tiny or not quite functional but not dirty. The stuff was friendly and helpful and they also had a cat, Ned, who was a part of the stuff and made our day.

Recently stayed in room 9D with a friend. The theme was “English Cottage.” Our room was rather spacious with 2 comfortable beds and a private bathroom. We faced 3rd Avenue so we did hear some noise overnight. Overall, the hotel is super quirky and fun, and was a great value. It is not for everyone, as there are no elevators, room service, breakfast, etc. It was just perfect for us and we had fun checking out all the areas around the hotel to see the artwork. We even met one of the resident cats. I would stay here again and recommend the same to others who are open minded and don’t mind taking the stairs.
