The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. First, I'd like to thank Daniel, Efren, Omar, and the entire staff for their excellent service. They made this trip truly enjoyable and demonstrated why one should choose to stay at the CDMX above all other options. The hotel is beautiful and a truly luxurious experience. Furthermore, this hotel is in the middle of everything. It's very easy to walk to nearly every tourist destination and it's right on the hop on/hop off bus route. I would highly recommend for you trip to CDMX.

Worthy of being a veteran five-star hotel. In a place like New York, the room is really big and should be renovated. The room is intelligently controlled by Ipad. Compared to No Mad Hotel where I stayed for the first night, it was much better. BTW, Welcome chocolate is very delicious

The room has a good view and compared to the same price, I personally think it is not up to standard, but it is very comfortable. It is understandable in this area of ​​​​NYC. If you want a good view, you can’t go wrong by booking this hotel. You must book the Skyline. The highest floor that the elevator can reach is 36 Skyline. The line is at 35. It’s really beautiful at night. If you are looking for comfortable accommodation, there are better hotels at the same price. Although there are always patrols in the busier streets of Manhattan, there are still some homeless and secluded small hotels nearby when you go out at night. Try not to walk on the alley. I hope everyone goes out together at night and pays attention to safety.

Lovely hotel, great location, great rooms and nice staff. Our two rooms were really lovely. Great air conditioning. Quiet for New York. Location amazing, walk across the road to Times Square. Subway station close by. Door men were really helpful. Big thank you to Jimmy who was really helpful. Concierge was really helpful getting us great tickets to shows. Breakfast was ok. Charlie Parker Steak across the road had excellent steak.

Upon entering, it gives a small boutique hotel feel due to the size of the lobby, but the rooms are anything but! Overall, a great relaxing stay that I wish was longer. This was one of the largest rooms I have had in a NYC hotel. Check-in by Cynthia was welcoming and seamless. The room was beautiful, Queen 1 BR suite that was nicely appointed with a small foyer that had a small, padded bench, comfortable living room with TV and large double doors leading into the BR. Make sure you open cabinets to find your mini-bar, and Nescafe coffee maker or you will miss it. But I liked that it was tucked away neatly. I would have loved a separate refrigerator to store my own beverages or any leftovers. If it was available, I did not see it need it this trip, but would inquire for a future stay. The room also had a walk-in closet/dressing room with a wide full-length mirror, and nice sized bathroom with glass walled walk in-shower. The bathroom wasn't large, but it the vanity was large enough for 2 people to store their toiletries, also with the walk-in closet right outside of the bathroom door, there was extra storage if needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. My room was in the middle section of floors available, my views were nice enough but nothing to write home about. It you are looking for a beautiful NYC Skyline view ask for a higher floor, or room with a view, I did not request it, but I believe they would have done their best to accommodate if I had. There is an on-site restaurant Dabble. The food (breakfast) was good (not spectacular), but convenient given my stay, pricey $25-50 per person - but it is Manhattan, and this is a 5-star hotel, so I wasn't surprised at the price- you pay for convenience and or you eat there because you may have credits given your level of rewards membership which was my experience. I was happy to have that as an option and did appreciate the convenience. I would definitely return and will recommend to friends looking to elevate their NYC hotel experience.

Arrived very late, the lady at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful. Also on our last night helped us tremendously as far as transportation to the airport since there were road closures due to a parade We were able to get a car right at our door and not have to use a taxi nor other! Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. Hotel location is very good. About 5 minutes walk to Fifth Avenue, turn to Central Park, and the subway station will walk for 5 minutes. The hotel is a post-modern urban minimalist style, the room is good, very New York apartment feel, but the breakfast is a bit too casual, too simple, but the breakfast at the New York hotel is probably so good, it is a very good hotel

Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

Very convenient location, room is sparkling clean and has everything you need (if not, housekeeping will bring to you). Room is a bit dark and it will be nice to have more lights, but since mine was on high floor it was ok when I opened the curtain. Friendliness is so-so, but not particularly unfriendly either. The hotel doesn’t seem to have any other facility like gym, pool or even a restaurant, but you can make your coffee and cocoa at lobby for free. There’s a small lovely balcony at the lobby as well. Overall happy with stay and will come back if I have chance.

Great location for a person seeking the heart of Times Square. There are various levels of rooms so don’t be offended if you don’t book a city view and then get a window with a view of a building. The entrance was decent, yet for a W hotel, I never saw a doorman on site. We never had staff assist us with our bags either. The initial impression after the primary door is decent. They turned it into an sort of underwater experience. With this being said the four nights we stayed there I also never once saw a security guard as you first enter leaving a bit of safety concerns up for grabs. From there you have to catch an elevator up to the main lobby which is nicely decorated. Upon checking in don’t expect to be greeted with a smile (even if you have rank as a bonvoy member). Just get your key and go. As for the room the overall appearance is dependent upon the level of room you choose, so to be impartial I won’t give my opinion on the rooms. I will though, continue to comment on the lackluster service as that aspect should be stellar across the board. Upon asking for recommendations for the city we were handed a crumbled, partially torn paper with a generous number of locations, no additional information was provided by the staff. The night before checking out I found myself in need of a razor. I called guest services and they advised they’d be able to provide one. 40 minutes had passed and still no razor. After burning much time just waiting, I decided it would probably be faster for me to walk to CVS buy one and come back (which it was). Again, I mention the location is prime Times Square making every item the hotel forgets to bring you, easily found and easily accessible by foot. The cocktails at the “Living Room” bar are horrible. They range from $20-25 per cocktail and if you light a cigarette near it, you’ll probably catch on fire from the amount of unshaken liquor in the glass. A heavy pour isn’t always a good pour especially when you’re looking to actually be able to walk the city. We have the living room bar 3 tries before deciding to just have our first set of cocktails outside of the establishment. A benefit is that the W gives you $25 to spend at the bar daily with your $25 resort fee. For the first time in my life free wasn’t actually better. I really would love a call from someone at the establishment as I am certain the experiences my wife and I dealt with are not the “norm”. Overall, do not recommend. I would recommend The NY Marriott Marquis.

The Edison Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Manhattan! The location, which is right in the theatre district and a block and a half away from Times Square, is exceptional. One can take a short walk over to Ninth Avenue where there are dozens and dozens of great restaurants. It is near everything!!! The staff were great! They seemed to go out of their way to be polite and professional, which is unusual in this area. Our room was very nice with a King Bed and a great view of the city. While we did not try the Hotel's restaurants and bars they seemed to be fulled of happy customers. The room price, when compared to value provided, is a bargain. You can easily pay a lot more in this area and receive a lot less.. I have stayed in this general area at a number of Hotels in the past that failed to motivate me to write a review. Try this Hotel the next time you are in town. You will come back!!

This place was a great choice-on so many levels. I went with my daughter and having been to NYC before knew i wanted to stay somewhere where we felt comfortable going back to on our own late at night. This was perfect. Literally about 50 m from Times Square but the best nights sleep ever in NYC! Other hotels i have stayed in that are way more expensive i have been disturbed by construction and rubbish trucks. We slept like babies. Smallish room but u litch only sleep there. i would defo stay here when i go back. Extra shout out to Jazzy on Reception who was really helpful as was the porter and other guys who checked us in. Really friendly, clean and modern-yes yes yes

The front desk staff were helpful and friendly, greeting us and acknowledging us each time we left and returned to the hotel. There were always staff members opening and holding open doors for us, everyone smiling. Though the room was rather small, the space was maximized very thoughtfully and efficiently. Bathroom was really nice.

There are not many people who comment on it. The hotel is on 49th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. The roads in Manhattan are easy to recognize, just right and street. Start on Fifth Avenue and then sixth, seventh, Broadway and eighth. In the middle is the street. The Port Authority's main station (that is, the coach station) is on 42nd Street, Times Square is on 47th Street, and the subway can be a 50th Street station, very close. A lot of food nearby (Ichiran Ramen, Shake Burger, Michelin Steak House). The hotel is not a well-known brand in the chain, it is relatively small and not luxurious, but the price is not cheaper than the surrounding Marriott or the like. Last year, I stayed at Marriott very large. The exterior looks larger and more luxurious than this. After all, his infrastructure is very early. But this good place is closer to Times Square than the quiet Marriott there, rooms have microwaves, coffee machines, free fruit and apples, bananas, potato chips, ice water for 24 hours downstairs. There is coffee and tea on the second floor, and friends can sit there. There are slippers, umbrellas and toiletries in the room. L'Occitane. These are not available in American hotels. Dental appliances are not. I booked an agent's twin room at Ctrip at first, which was 500 yuan cheaper than the official website. There are two types of twin beds on the official website. One is ordinary and the other is a barrier-free room with a handrail. The difference between these two types is 500. The double bed marked on Ctrip did not say that it was an accessible room. I booked Ctrip for a small farmer. The fact that I got the room was a barrier-free room, and that 500 was not bad. And it was very low on the third floor. It was super dark in high-rise New York. I went to the front desk to upgrade the suite. The front desk gave me a good discount and added me 50 dollars a day. Hall, bedroom with double bed, double sofa bed in the hall, both bath and shower, and 3 cloakrooms with bathrobe hangers. Ctrip's hotel booking is really very metaphysical, the price and official website are not bad, the room type is difficult to determine, I have learned lessons before. Anyway, the hotel location is convenient and the facilities can be serviced or not. The price is not bad. People do not look at their choices. There is a parking lot on the side of the hotel, and you can also park on behalf of the guests. On the side is the Ambassador Theater staged by Ryoko Micura of Chicago, which is opposite the Mormon Theater.

I highly recommend The Time Hotel! Great location, wonderful service, especially Dee! She remembered us from our stay before Covid and was as accommodating as ever, making us so comfortable. The Spiritualized rock band was staying there while we were there and they were a great group. We will be back!
