My partner and I stayed at Werndee apartments for a much needed break. We booked Wren Cottage - an accessible unit - it was the only one available at the time. Wren Cottage was perfect. Situated at the rear of the (stunning) 1901 built mansion, was tucked away, quiet and private. The unit had everything we needed; functional kitchenette, comfortable sitting/dinning and large sleeping area. We also had our own covered in outdoor area that enabled us to enjoy evening meals. The location is the big plus. North Hobart is eclectic, buzzing without being pretentious. The State Cinema, a must visit, restaurants, stunning coffee are all a glorious walk away. Daci&Daci bakery is a short stroll as is Hill Street grocery store. Hobart CBD can also be accessed on foot. Robyn, the host, is very friendly and made us feel welcome without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope we get a chance to stay again. Perhaps in one of the rooms in the main house which provide stunning views across the Derwent.
