1661 Inn is such a wonderful place. So many options for accommodations. We stayed in the Ball room and others with us stayed in Dodge Cottage. Imagine if you woke up in the morning to a view of the Atlantic Ocean 500 feet from your porch. Fresh flowers in your room and a wonderful breakfast buffet with fresh produce from the garden on site. The staff was so friendly and always willing to help. Rita, the owner, making sure everyone feels comfortable and available for any questions or concerns. The convenience of the location to the waterfront activity area was so easy to walk anywhere. Also as a pleasant surprise a ride to the ferry landing at the end of the trip so we didn't have to drag suitcases. Thank you 1661 Inn.

We have stayed several times over the past year and every experience is fabulous. The staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. The accommodations are spacious clean and unique and the breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese are always quite good. I highly recommend a stay at any of the 1661 property's. We have enjoyed accommodations at the Main House, the Dodge Cottage, the Hendrickson House and the Mitchell Cottage, all were an excellent experience. The farm and garden across the road from the main house is one of many hidden gems the 1661 had in store for its guests.

Highly recommend staying at The 1661 Inn. We stayed at Anchor House #5. Our entire stay exceeded our expectations. Everyone at the front desk was always smiling and willing to help in any way. The view from the 1661 was breathtaking and relaxing. Breakfast was extensive and Rita would bring a freshly hand picked basket of vegetables from the garden and greet guests. Complimentary Wine and Nibbles from 4-5 was a great way to kick off an evening. Roger made sure everything ran smoothly and is personable. The location was close and far enough away from the busy *****. Room was perfect for our purpose and Sam is pleasant. 5 star+++

We had great stay at the Dodge cottage for two nights in August. The rates were competitive or a little better than other similar options. We really enjoyed the room. It was very clean and quiet. The cleaning staff were very nice and helpful. We used some of the extra perks that the hotel offers. Although it was up at the 1661 house, we enjoyed the coffee and complimentary pastries for breakfast. We didn't have time to try the buffet. It was really nice that they kept our bags while we went to the beach on our last day after we checked out. We were even able to take a shower before we got on the ferry home, again after we had checked out. And we had some complimentary wine and cheese that day as well. They even had a free shuttle to the ferry, which was a nice way to end our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time visiting Block Island. It is beautiful! The 1661 Inn was a lovely place, and we highly recommend it. The owner and staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Dodge Cottage. The rooms were clean and spacious. I would recommend checking where your room is located in relation to the main building. We had about a 5 minute walk, which isn't bad, but some in our group have difficulty walking distances. We plan to stay here again in the future.

The INN is beautiful newly renovated rooms attention to detail including bedding and fresh flowers. They offer afternoon wine, cheese and crackers on a porch with an outstanding best view on the island. The staff is fantastic. I accidentally left my wallet after their gourmet breakfast buffet on the back of my chair. When I went upstairs to room, I realized and panicked because not only $ , license and credit cards but KEYs to car to get home. I ran downstairs and staff were amazing helping me look and research. They had safely placed in lost and found immediately and I was so relieved. Honest people, wonderful food comfortable beds my husband and I were thrilled and can't wait to return.

Another great stay at the 1661 on Block Island. Beautiful grounds with gorgeous view of the Atlantic Ocean. Staff super friendly and helpful. The brunch on the back porch is delicious. Rooms were very clean. Rita and her sons do an excellent job welcoming guests year after year. Make sure to visit the animals and gardens across the street.

This was not my first stay at the Inn but it's always a memorable experience. The entire staff is very service-oriented. Every single staff member we came in contact with was kind, respectful and bent over backwards to make our stay was the best it could possibly be (including providing utensils to cut/eat a birthday cake we brought to the isalnd with us). We moved rooms after the first night (intentionally) and without a hitch, our things were waiting for us in the new accommodations (including the cake, utensils and knife, as well as laundry we asked if they could do for us). Breakfast is not what you think - I was thinking a typical 'breakfast buffet' - and this is WAY more than that. Thick, fluffy pancakes one morning, thick, fluffy french toast the next. Eggs, Spinach puff things that were to die for... fresh fruit, bagels, you name it. All I can say is that you're in great hands when you arrive - just relax... and enjoy the room, the view nd everything else about the Inn.

My son had his wedding in Block Island and can I tell you how amazing it to stay at this inn the service was incredible when 1st checked was greeted with a huge smile and help kindness, I am recommending this 1661 inn to anyone who will listen, love it
