Hotel Nerja Club by Dorobe

Infelizmente, a nossa estadia foi prejudicada por vizinhos extremamente barulhentos. Deixando isso de lado: os funcionários são simpáticos e corteses e parecem trabalhar horas extremamente longas. Depois de uma longa espera (a equipe de limpeza estava atrasada); O quarto era limpo e espaçoso, com varanda. A vista era do supermercado local. Lençóis não trocados durante a nossa estadia (mesmo que solicitássemos o serviço de limpeza). Exaustor do banheiro não funciona. Terraço agradável, mas lotado quando o tempo estava bom. Piscina sem aquecimento e extremamente fria. O café da manhã foi, na melhor das hipóteses, mediano, com quase nada para quem segue uma dieta vegana / baseada em vegetais. Chá, café, suco reconstituído na máquina ou água disponível. Somente leite lácteo. O jantar foi chato. Frango, porco e peixe são oferecidos todas as noites, principalmente em alguma forma de caçarola, com mistura de vegetais. A sobremesa era geleia, ou alguma opção tipo mousse ou sorvete (mesmo depois de descongelado ainda estava lá e não foi esvaziado ou retirado quando indiquei que o freezer havia descongelado). Todas as bebidas (incluindo água) tiveram que ser compradas no bar. Não vi nenhum sinal de spa. Boa localização para praia e cidade. Boas ligações de transportes. Estrada muito barulhenta em todos os momentos do dia.

Reservei um quarto por duas noites, devo dizer quarto limpo, era onde estava. Como um quarto econômico, eu não esperava vista para o mar, varanda, mordomo. Eu esperava um quarto agradável com uma janela que eu pudesse abrir, para deixar entrar um pouco de ar fresco. Extremamente barulhento lá fora, pois era um quarto térreo em frente a uma passadeira. Mas jogo limpo, eles me deram um reembolso TOTAL pelas minhas 2 noites. Como disseram, o hotel estava cheio. NÃO aceite o quarto 122. A menos que você seja um exibicionista

Food very nice and chefs were lovely. All staff very pleasant. The head chef was very friendly and hardworking. The hotel itself was very nice and all staff were very helpful in any questions you may have. American night, which was our last night, was very very good, food was amazing and staff again were really pleasant.

We had breakfast and dinner for two weeks and it was delicious every time. Lots of choice and the food was always fresh and flavourful. The cleaners are also brilliant, they work so hard to keep everything neat, fresh, clean and tidy in the rooms! Hotel staff and those behind the bar were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a budget friendly get away.

Hotel and staff could not be faulted. Everyone was really happy and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean on arrival and kept clean by friendly maids. A shower mat was easily obtained from reception for which there was no charge. We stayed half board and there was always a good selection of different heated and salad items. Apart from the presence of chips there was a varied selection every evening of both salad and hot food. Desserts were always available along with different fruits. The restaurant area was kept clean by the staff and there were plenty of tables. The bar had a happy 2 hour slot everyday and drinks became buy one get one free. Never had an issue getting served and the bar staff were ver good and polite. We went a little out of season so evening entertainment was very limited but at the end of June the program looked full. Supermarkets were very close and the taxi service was very cheap and quick. Although the walk to the town centre was not excessively hilly the distance could be an issue with some people. Reception ordered the taxi without a problem and hailing one in the area was easy. This was our second stay after 12 years and the hotel is very good and well worth a visit.

We found Nerja Club Hotel very disappointing in many ways but to start on a positive note the staff were generally very friendly. The hotel was too far out from the centre for us and the busses weren’t always reliable. However taxi’s are cheap running at 6-7 euros. The room was basic and in disrepair. The bath leaked, flooding the floor and wall tiles were broken. Despite reporting it we ended up mopping the floor with towels on a daily basis. The air conditioning worked but not so well. The food in the hotel was also disappointing. Some guests were extremely loud in the sun lounge area and the pool rules weren’t respected. We wouldn’t recommend.

This was my third visit to this Hotel I came in 2017, 2019 and now in 2024. Unfortunately it has lost its previous charm. I think it has been taken over by a Hotel group. It is not horrible, but if you have been before it seems to have lost its mojo. The staff all seem overworked and stressed and not at all happy, they are not unfriendly, just not as friendly as they were. The food has gone seriously down hill, Breakfast was ok I am more than happy with eggs on toast, but the evening meal was not good at all, I am not a fussy eater but every night it was chicken and pork and on a couple of occasions it was just inedible. The service at the bar is not good, you need the patience of a saint, it’s not that the bar staff are slow, there just aren’t enough of them. Entrance to the dining hall is very regimented, you have to show a piece of paper, if you don’t have it you don’t get in, okay rules are rules but in most Hotels after a couple of days the staff recognise you and use their initiative, here perhaps they are not allowed to, treating your customers like school children is not going to make them want to come back. Our room was okay, the bed was clean and reasonably comfortable we were on the ground floor and had a bit of a garden outside which was quite nice although I did have to hunt and dispose of a couple of cockroaches or my wife would never have gone to sleep! The one thing that did upset my Wife was that previously when you went to the dining room for your evening meal, a waiter would come to your table to ask if you wanted a drink and the deliver it to your table, this no longer happens if you want a drink you have to get it yourself from a bar in the corner that did not seem to have a barman. A word of warning! Sound transmits unbelievably well in this hotel, for our last three days we had noisy neighbours, this didn’t bother me too much as I could sleep through a Hurricane but from what my wife told me a triple X rating would not have been high enough. This is not a bad Hotel, it has changed, maybe some of us don’t like change we tend to look back with Rose tinted spectacles. Would I come back?……….I don’t know.
