We stayed for 10 days in September. We had booked an economy road view room through EasyJet but on arrival we were informed that we had been upgraded to a Deluxe Garden View, this was much appreciated. The room was very big and modern with and Nespresso machine, kettle with tea bags and milk. There was a small fridge that had beer, soft drinks and water that were replace daily. It had a lovely big bathroom with a walk in shower and good quality toiletries. The food in the buffet restaurant was good and with so much choice, we have never seen so many different types of salad. There was always a great selection of hot mains, Tuesday night they seemed to do a Chinese theme which we thought was the best night. The deserts were marvelous but the ice cream was awful, it had an odd gluy texture and we only tried it once. The restaurant had red and white wine out of a machine and it was not very nice, we ended up getting wine from the beach bar and taking it into the restaurant. There was no lunchtime snack bar as you have to eat in the buffet, which was no good for us as we made pigs of ourselves. We did try the A la cart restaurant which you have to pay 25 Euros per person, but this is for as much food and drink as you want. The food was excellent and it was nice to be waited on. The bars has a good choice of cocktails, which my wife and myself tried most of them. Also, they had branded spirits at not extra cost. The beach is lovely, with clear blue water and the beach staff work hard straightening out the beds, cleaning up the glasses and rubbish. The only criticism was that the sun beds are too close together and with the wooden walkways between the rows it made it difficult to either get shade or stay in the sun the whole day. We did not think that the entertainment was very good and because the hotel is a bit isolated you could not very easily go out for the evening to avoid it. Although, the sister hotel next door, put on a light, fountain, fire, laser show four nights a week, we was saw two of them, different both times. Do not miss. Under the Mini Market there is a wine cellar with free wine tasting, the sommelier was very informative and told us all about the different wines from the different regions of Greece. We tried seven different wines and bought a very nice bottle of white after the hour tasting session. Do not miss this either!! As there is very little in the immediate area, we hired a car for the day in the reception and drove around the first arm, Kassandra. We found a quaint village, Afytos which had old world charm with cobbled streets and was the highlight of our day. Although the hotel was lovely, when we go back to Halkidiki we would probably stay in Sithona (second arm) and see something different.
