Lake Talbot Tourist Park

Had a great stay here. The park managers, Chris and Tracy looked after me so well. The grounds were great and really well looked after. The drive through sites are really good and easy to get into for big or small vans. Have stayed on two sites. It's a lovely spot overlooking the lake. l'll be back for sure.

Interesting attitude for someone in a service industry in a town crawling with alternative accommodation options. Pulled in at 6.15 pm and rang the AFTER HOURS bell as reception hours are until 6 pm. ‘I was wondering if I could have a room,’ I said. He said: ‘I’m just about to have my dinner.’ Sorry old mate, I’d hate to put you out. ‘I’ll go elsewhere then …’ I said. No judgement. I found a room in town at a place where I was greeted with a smile. Yep, I had a long day’s drive too, mate. Sorry about your day, it must have been fantastic.

Very comfortable cabin near the entrance so it was easy to access. It was very clean too and we noted that some internal upgrades were recent. There were notices around near the kitchen section to ensure that we operate the electrical equipment in the right way. This is appreciated as we had no mishaps during our stay. Very welcoming lady at the Reception. It certainly helps to make visitors feel at home. Importantly, it is about 2 minutes' drive to Lake Talbot for boating etc, It is indeed a beautiful area. Around 5 minutes' drive to the CBD area which makes it very convenient for last minute shopping at Coles or Woolies, not to mention the grocery shops we visited opposite to the park.

This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here and I must say I’m extremely disappointed in the whole experience this time. (3rd and last time) Called 3 weeks ago and booked two motel rooms one dog friendly, paid up front, the next day I received confirmation of one room only. Phoned to confirm and was told I have one motel room booked and on “dog friendly cabin”. I explained that I requested two motel rooms as we have stayed in them in the past. No you can’t stay in the motel if you have dogs….. no reason. Couldn’t get my money back as it was inside the cancellation period. So arrived to find my friend in a quite motel room while I’m in a “dog friendly cabin” I have two small dogs and about a mitre by mitre square to move in. I can’t stand in the bathroom to dry myself as the toilet is in the way. The cabin stinks like a cheap deodorant so the front door is open for fresh air in 10c. Can’t open the windows as the wind is blowing and raising up a dust bowl from the construction zone right behind the unit. The unit is right at the front with a boom gate so I have two issues my dogs are inquisitive so I’m stressing to ensure they don’t bark and have to make sure when going out the are not in the path of traffic. Feel sorry for the owners but at the end of the day they are only as good as there staff. Do yourself a favour there are other dog friendly places along the Newell Hwy to stay that make dog owners feel valued. Feeling somewhat ripped of.

$145 for a crappy cabin right on the road with an air conditioner that does not cool the ridiculously snall space. I cannot see the lake and I need a key to access it. No shaded private space to unwind in. What did I pay for????

We needed a caravan spot for single night on our way back to Adelaide and got one of the terraced drive through sites. These have a dead level concrete pad and a LUSH grass 'front lawn'. While they're fairly narrow they're quite long so plenty of space (allowing you to stay hitched up) and because of the way they're staggered you get a view past your neighbour out the back. The amenities block (showers, toilets, laundry and kitchen) is pretty much brand new, well appointed and spotless. Other sites have strategically placed trees between them for shade and well maintained green grass. Staff guide you to your site by golf buggy.

A very good caravan park, featuring lovely grass sites, a number of convenient drive throughs, recently new amenities and quiet. Located on the fringe of Narrandera providing easy access to shops and services. We stayed a week and staff were friendly and helpful.

Such a beautiful spot and Chris was friendly, accommodating and awesome! Definitely worth a stop over or a few days to visit and explore. Beautiful views and the caravan park is friendly and well set out.

Misleading information re the ensuite cabin for $117. Only picture available was of the outside, no inside photos of cabin no. 1. Floor tiles missing in bathroom so sharp, can’t boil the kettle with a/c on, dirty cup, rotting wood on windowsill and list goes on. Very disappointing to be mislead
