Essential Suite B&B Botanic

Great value hotel in the centre of Naples. The hotel can be a little bit hard to find so I would recommend contacting them in advance and letting them know your arrival time. Once inside, the hotel is very clean and quiet, and our room has a nice big bathroom. This place was actually better than some of the more expensive hotels in Italy.

First of all, it's basically impossible to find this hotel without proper instructions which were not provided by our host. If you type the name and address of the hotel in Google it will lead you to a different building across the square from where it really is. The host didn't speak any English, didn't pick up the phone and insisted on communication via WhatsApp. Provided a wrong number without a country code first so it took a while... We were desperate at night on a street not knowing how to find our hotel..Some locals helped us to locate the place. The hotel is located on the third floor of a tiny building (no elevator, very steep stairs). There is a car wash in the building so we heard cars being washed every morning. But it's nothing compared to the noize created by the crowds from the bars under our windows. Don't except that you can relax at this hotel. The room was quite dirty, somebody's hair was in bed, we also found ants in the corner by the bed. The mattress was ok. In the bathroom the was no hooks to hang towels, in the drawers under the sink there were some dirty tools and a hairdryer with a completely destroyed plug. There was no sound isolation at all, in the morning we could hear every word of the conversation between the cleaning lady and the receptionist. Terrible experience.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo B&B per tre notti, dal venerdì alla domenica. Niente da dire sulla posizione, molto ben collegata tra autobus e metro e comunque non lontanissima dal centro. una recensione a parte per la situazione in camera. La camera a noi affidata era la Fashion Room, il materasso totalmente sprofondato, con un bellissimo piumone bianco per nulla in tema con i 35 gradi all'ombra e il condizionatore completamente scarico. Pur avendo segnalato le criticità nessuno ha risolto le problematiche o comunque fornito soluzioni alternative. sicuramente torneremo a Napoli, che ci è piaciuta moltissimo, ma non in questo B&B.
