We are so glad we stayed in the Uno Hotel. It is quite new. Staff were really friendly and helpful at check in and whenever we went through the reception area. It is super close to the ferry wharves and the train station. Uno Port is a small town but has some restaurants, supermarket, convenience store etc all within 5-10 minutes walk of the hotel. Everything we needed after a day out at an ”art island”. We had considered staying in a bigger town like Takamatsu to go to Naoshima and Teshima but are really glad we stayed in UnoPort. The Uno Hotel is in a lovely spot looking out to the water and as an added bonus had a coin operated washing machine and dryer which always makes travelling easy. Breakfast was beautifully presented, very good quality and we were offered a different ”main” option for our 2nd and 3rd mornings. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful - just like reception staff. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner but it was good to know it was there as an option. We didn't use the onsen but were given free access.

The room is not big, the window cannot be opened, and the smell of smoke is too strong.
There is no bottled water in the room, you need to get it from the water dispenser in the corridor.
The cleaning staff did not put the sticker on the door out in time because they did not understand Japanese, so they had to go to the front desk to ask.
Transportation, meals, and the pier are still very close, very convenient

The room feels big among Japanese city chain hotels, at least it can open two 20-inch suitcases. The facilities and toiletries are very complete, and cute towels, slippers and toothbrushes are specially prepared for children. The bath towels are very thick, and the pajamas are of good quality. I want to buy some to take away.
The bed and pillow are very comfortable.
The front desk speaks good English. Although the operator didn't speak English when I called before😅
I didn't have breakfast in the hotel. There are too many delicious foods around. The two teammates bought a lot of snacks at the convenience store. The mermaid bread downstairs is also very good. You can buy freshly baked bread when it opens at 8 o'clock😋.
It is about 1.5 kilometers to Ritsurin Garden, a 15-20 minute walk, and there are many buses for 3 stops.
The transportation is very convenient to everywhere, and the airport bus pick-up point is also nearby. I want to stay here next time I come to Takamatsu.

２ mid-middle, ２ night ３ day Shikoku trip, １ night I disturbed my wife. The location is located in the downtown area of Takamatsu, about ５ minutes walk from Kotoden Kawaramachi Station, there is a large shopping center nearby (next to the next), and there is a convenience store at the entrance of the hotel, which is very convenient. It is easy to understand if you use the red brick color appearance and the large cat object as a marker. There is no parking lot, and if you use a car, the parking lot of the adjacent shopping center (Marugame Town Green) is a affiliated P, so you will be asked to discount at check-in. The front desk, lounge and restaurant are on the ２ floor, and breakfast is served here. ３ The lower floors above the floor are the hotel floors. The upper floors are dormitories, and there seems to be a coin laundry in the middle. I used the twin on the hotel floor, but the room seems to have been renovated recently and the room is clean. The size is minimal, especially the unit bath is extremely narrow, so if you use each toilet, washbasin, and bath, you may be in danger of hitting your feet and head if you don't devise a little. Even if I was １７３ centimeters tall, I thought that my knees would stick to the wall when I sat down, and if a large foreign traveler used it, I would have a hard time. On the other hand, I was impressed with breakfast, and instead of the busy place that is often found in business hotels, the restaurant with a wide 々 and space has a rich buffet menu. In addition, each item was devised, and I was able to have a delicious and comfortable breakfast. The staff were young and kind. There is also a service to provide tea brewing for midnight snacks. I used the room of the new building. It is less than 々 away from Takamatsu station, and the bus seems to be not after the evening, so I went to the taxi. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very delicious. I was a little worried about the front desk from a little above, but I was very satisfied overall. I would like to use it at the new building next time I visit Takamatsu.

It is a formal hotel that can stay at a reasonable price, although it is a little far from the station. Because I used it on a trip to sanuki Udon, it was good to be able to access the famous shop where the procession can be made in taga town on foot (２０ minutes) after the first walk in the morning. Other than that, the parking lot was ２４ free time access, so it was convenient. The room used a standard twin. It's not large, but it was comfortable with no inconvenience, clean and well-cleaned in a beautiful room. This is a hotel you want to use again when staying in Takamatsu.

We stayed for one night on the 8th floor floor. It is a great view that Seto Ohashi bridge and island 々 can see. At night, the car lights across the bridge flow, and in the morning you can see the magnificent scenery and Asahi, forget the time. The room is large and easy to use. Dinner was Japanese food in a two-food course. It was made of local ingredients, and none of them were very delicious, especially the cherry blossoms with cochi were exquisite. The breakfast was delicious, but it was a little disappointing that it was a distracting atmosphere to ask for something because the volume of bread was small and the number of people was rotated. It was a great hotel overall. The woman from Italy at the reception was fluent in Japanese and very bright and a good impression. I think if I have a chance to visit again.

TtorinessThis little guesthouse is simple but so well priced and met all our needs - mostly its close proximity (15 minutes walk) to both Honnura port area and the start of the Benesse house art zone, the main locations for the absolutely amazing art installations on Naoshima. Room was well sized, clean, secure and warm. The host was very friendly - he even gave us a lift into the Benesse area to give us a great head start on our day, and securely stored our luggage for the day. I would definitely stay here again. For those coming to Naoshima I would recommend staying 2 nights so you are not rushing your time on this beautiful serene island and make sure you book various galleries well in advance, they sell out even in off season!!

GGuest UserClose to the port of the passenger ship, it was a good location for going around the house project. It looks like a private house, but the room was clean and it was nice to have a unit bath and washlet. It was a cold day, but I had an electric blanket and I was able to sleep warmly. My husband was very kind and guided me to the pick-up and view spots in Naoshima, so I was able to enjoy sightseeing in Naoshima. I wanted to come to Naoshima again. I would like to use the bamboo house at that time as well.

GGuest UserThe good: They are a new hotel so there are some glitches but it was such an amazing stay, all can be forgiven. The hotel is run by amazing people!!! Everyone speaks some English and are super friendly. The food is so amazing. Yum Yum!! The rooms are small, new but the beds are small and hard. There is just a small shower. Since we went to I LOVE YU anyways, we only showered quickly in the morning. The view is so incredible. The bad: Because the location is a bit far away, I definitely wanted to to book with dinner but Booking.com did not offer the 2 meal option like some other places on the island. However, their own website did so I booked through them. I wanted to change room options afterward and wrote to them but they did not respond. Nor was I able to navigate the site to cancel or change the reservation. They also offered a shuttle from the ferry terminal but it wasn't made that obvious so I never bothered calling for it. The walk is fine once you know where it is but we got a bit lost missing the road up the hill. This place will book up quickly so reserve ahead.

GGuest UserA 3-minute walk from Miyaura Port, it was a renovated private house in the Miyaura village and was used when I visited the 2022 Setouchi Triennale. There is nothing like the front desk and there are no staff. Use the reserved room, check out only by leaving the key in the room. There is no hassle. I used ”ROOM CHARLIE”. A rental room with a bedroom, living room and private bathroom. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle, and you can cook a little. Clean, functional, easy to use and very good.

FFrederic3006Large yurt with 4 beds. Very clean. Quite hard beds. Excellent location near Benesse Museum (walking distance, or next to bus stop). Excellent airconditioning. Toilets and shower are quite far from the yurts. Basic comfort but that’s ok. Very quite place. Diner is good: you get a large plate with plentiful of meat and some shrimps, vegetables to put on a table bbq. Breakfast is too basic and not our taste: Japanese udon noodles. Tip: go to the nearby Terrace restaurant : you get an excellent breakfast buffet with tons of choice for around 25-30 euro.
