This hotel is excellent value for money. Very clean and staff excellent could not have been in a better location. I will definitely go back and stay with L’Hôtel. We used the airport shuttle bus. As you get off the bus keep the train line on your right. Just yards away are the steps upto the bridge. When you get to the top take the right turn and walk down the road don’t take the natural bend but cross over the road you’ll pass a restaurant/bar and the hotel is located a few yards away. Note when you go back to the airport by shuttle bus go to where you were dropped off and cross the road. Just before you get to the river the bus stop can be seen. Really easy both ways. We also used the trams which again is close to the hotel . The Nante voyage card included airport bus and trams. Enjoy your stay.

My experience there was horrible. The welcome at the beginning was very good, walk path to see the city was recommended by the staff nicely. Had a good time. However, they accused us for cabinet stain after we checked out the room and had our last walk in the Nantes city. The claim was not made by them immediately when we did our check out. We were shocked when they asked us to pay €150 for them to replace the cabinet with stain when was hard to note. This made me very worried if I’m going to stay in hotel in the future as they will ask you to pay for something you never done. I didn’t drink any wine in the room. It was not me who made the stain. It was a horrible accusation to tourists of the city as both parties have their own story. Should I need to take photos when I check in a room? I’m not recommending this hotel.

Very nice hotel with a great customer service and a clean and cosy room. Perfect location near the tram and the bus station if not travelling with a car or wishes to see old town attractions. Good breakfast for extra cost.

This is a well located and affordable hotel so close to the castle of Nantes in the old centre of the city, its location is just wonderful. Staff were very attentive and helpful, with coverage of the front desk 24 hours a day. Our room was adequate with a comfortable bed, however we didn’t realise there was no air-conditioning when we made the booking and this made the room quite stifling without the terrace doors open. The staff gave us a pedestal fan which assisted, but the airflow was difficult without the terrace doors open.

We chose this property as it was easy to reach by car and offered on-site (paid) parking, which is rare among hotels in central Nantes. The superior room was rather basic, but clean/functional. The bath area is separated from the bedroom by a heavy curtain. The hotel location worked well for us, as it offers easy walking into the old city. The hotel counter staff were very helpful. We did not take the breakfast, as one can buy fresh croissants and coffee at a bakery 3-4 minutes walk away. We enjoyed our 2 nights in Nantes. I regard this as a convenient hotel for drivers. The nearby Jardin des Plants is worth visiting.

I stayed for 2 nights in June 2022 with my 2 year old. I couldn't fault the hotel. A really lovely welcoming place and the location could not have been better. I found it incredible value for money for where the hotel is located - right next to the castle. Staff were very welcoming and even helped carry cases to room which was a bonus with a toddler in tow. Very comfy bed and quiet in the back of the hotel overlooking the garden. Also appreciated the bar and option to take a glass of wine up to the room. Great selection of breakfast options. Only flaw is the hairdryer is one of the ones attached to wall in bathroom and wouldn't even dry my fine hair...so take a hairdryer! Definitely will be back at L'Hotel.
