Service and attention to detail can make a difference. A truly professional hotel in every sense of the word in an excellent central Nagasaki position. Need mall food, and you are spoilt for choice. Local top Japanese restaurants were fully booked so the mall choices helped.

No frills, simple yet fully functional amenities. My family thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread & quality of food served. Onsen quality is better than some branded hotels found in the main city area. Our first time trying Dormy Inn and w are looking forward to the next!

Beautiful hotel, reminds of a Portuguese vibe similar to what you could find in Macao. I think it’s definitely good value for money. In-room massage isn’t amazing

Nice resort we even visited. Resort occupied nearly 60% area of Lojima. 3 onsen areas offer without extra charges. Worth to spend whole day in the resort, dinner is recommended as well. And of course, staffs are friendly and helpful, higher than normal Japanese standard. We must book again when we going to Nagasaki Only one drawback is light show at night, too expensive and nothing special for us.

Large hotel room! Staff were nice and friendly. This hotel provides a discount ticket to mount inasa for the awesome view! Hotel location was around a 10mins walk from nagasaki station, but was not an issue for us.

The lobby is somewhat dated but has a retro charm to it. I stayed in a standard double room which is spacious enough for one person but would be a bit cramped for two. The room seems to have been renovated recently as the fixtures, furnishings and appliances look quite new. The small balcony overlooking Glover Street is a plus. The staff at the front desk, concierge and the restaurant are all super nice and helpful. The location is very convenient. The Oura Cathedral tram stop is just down the street and many attractions such as Glover Garden, Dejima, Confucius Shrine & Museum, Holland Zaka, Gunkanjima Digital Museum are within walking distance.

Although the location is a bit unfortunate, everything else is great. It is a great hotel, including the unfortunate location. There were some reviews that it was impossible to walk, but it is uphill, so it is worth walking up. I think it took about 15-20 minutes. The road is well guided on Google Maps. This is the hostel I want to stay again.

Stayed in this hotel for the view. Located below the observatory. So it's kind of secluded and quiet. They provide shuttle bus to the city centre though. Very nice and helpful staff. It's a good break away from the city. And enjoy the night view of Nagasaki. The building itself is old. But very well-maintained. And has a good welcoming vibe

The convenience of having various restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance is a significant plus. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full meal, you won’t have to venture far to find what you need. Overall, my stay at Candeo Hotel was delightful. The combination of its convenient location, modern and clean facilities, and excellent service makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Nagasaki. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the heart of the city.

Stayed on a trip to Fukuoka and Nagasaki. In terms of location, it's the best location, you can eat while walking, drinking, and buying castella. As for the room, it was clean with good space, good bath, good toilet, but the amenities are about cheap Bizho. It is a pity that the opening and closing metal fittings of the window are broken and there is a little vacancy and there is a sound of wind pressure. Although the hotel itself is old, it seems to be clean, but the carpet in the corridor is full of stains. I wonder if the reservation is cheap if you can afford it. I don't know because I didn't have breakfast, but I might use it if I visit Nagasaki again.
