Sai Palace Hotel

Rooms are good , comfortable, big hotel but understaffed. Room service very poor, check in and check out is also problematic. Nobody to answer your concern, housekeeping also needs improvements. Restaurant on site is small, but the food is ok.Overall look for a better place.

Rundown. Needs serious maintenance. Service team has been trained to say “no”. Rooms are old. Gym doesn’t even have a functional AC and is suffocating. AC fluctuates. Bathroom is small and dingy with poor lighting. Only and only location comes to the advantage but at the price , this is a pure let down.

While the facilities were good. The check in staff was rude. He first said " i dont have a reservation". Punk! he should check before making a statement. Also the food i ate; pahadi chicken tikka, gave me a stomach flu; that made me vomit for 3 days. Will not visit this hotel again. I also asked for a quiet room, the staff answered self confidently, " all rooms are quiet" , the one with windows facing the main street are noisy

This review is only about the food in the restaurant. Sai Palace restaurant has been one of our favourite restaurants for dinner. The seafood and almost all dishes here are pretty good. This time, we tried the following: Tandoori Chicken - 9/10 - excellent - the way we asked them to make. Mutton Biryani - 9/10 - Tender mutton and aromatic rice. Chese Chilly Toast - 4/10 - Not up to the mark Kesar kulfi - 7/10 Good Service - 8/10 - as always Thank you and keep it up

Booked 2 rooms towards the end of January 2023 hoping it is a well known chain and we will have a comfortable stay. The reviews everywhere were great too but was disappointed. Location: 4/5 Great location, brilliant connectivity, ease of commute. Rooms: 1/5 The only good part is the size of the rooms (bigger than the average Mumbai standard). The rooms are age old and have not been renovated in decades. The furniture is all wood, scratched up, primitive, smells of dust, is unhygienic. The bathrooms are terrible, shower cubicles are dangerously small and make you feel claustrophobic with hard water stained glass door that doesn't slide on the rusted metal panel. Poor lighting in the room, a lot of rooms have seepage issues hence they smell strongly and have swollen walls with plaster coming off (we had to change two rooms). You will not expect non-standard amenities in a so-called 4-star hotel but my parent's room did not have a mini-fridge while mine did (also mentioned on online portals). Something basic like room landline phone did not have any legend to call the reception or housekeeping. No stickers, no numbers mentioned on the in-room dining menu, no one told us at the time of check-in that this is where you can call if you need help. So we had to wait in lobby the first time just to ask someone for help. TVs barely work, the Dish connections are not recharged, they give a single bath towel in the bathroom for a room booked for two people. Stained bedsheets with pills. Questionable hygiene. Food: 3/5 Food is great especially the breakfast buffet. Wide variety, helpful staff, good spread. In room dining food is good as well but expensive for the service you get for in-room dining. Service: 1/5 Frustrating to live here where half the staff is clueless and the other half is rude. I asked 3 different housekeeping staff members for face towels and an extra bath towel and was told we don't have or provide face towels (later reception mentioned that's false and sent face towels after i complained). The food will arrive will always arrive with short cutlery or fewer plates than the members in the room. Then you call them and request them for it while the food gets cold. For some reason the restaurant staff is instructed to ***datorily carry the tray back with them and leave only the food serving bowls with the guests. We had ordered a large meal and requested the staff to leave the food bowls in the tray itself so that we can ***age in lesser space but the staff refused to leave it with us quoting the policy. 4+ staff members visited over 90 mins of us checking in and tried to fix the DTH connection and no one could figure out what's wrong. One said we need to recharge, other said it is a dish signal issue and is out of their control, third said he doesn't know what's wrong and final person figured that the HDMI and video cables itself were disconnected. Placed an order for some starters today, and we received third class catagory (as in quality, taste and the packing) food after 1&1/2 hours after placing the order ! Horrible experience ! There was hardly any mashroom in tandoori mashroom and galoti qubabs was absolutely tasteless and with big pieces of beans and carrots! Horrible!

The hotel fixtures are dilapidated. The house keeping is poor. Toiletries are limited. Visitors are suspected. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. A single window is closterphobic. Staff is of poor standard. Courtesies are lacking

We had our family function in Sai Palace, My guest totally enjoyed the food and mocktails that was served. All our guest were totally happy with the ambience and service. I heartily also like to thank Santosh ( Banquet ***ager ) and his colleague Rahul and their whole team. They were always their whenever I requested something I totally appreciate their hard work they are an asset. Also the rooms were superb and proper hygiene protocol was followed. Last but not the least I would like to thank the whole Sai Palace team for making our family function as a memorable day.
