SureStay Plus by Best Western Reading North

Old hotel hidden behind a warehouse. The nicest thing about the room was the updated bathroom. Everything else was old and not so clean. Huge red stain on the carpet. Old window treatments.

I stayed there for 16 days with my lady and our 3 young kids (Ages: 4months, 9 year old and a 4 year old) The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, and professional. It’s not a fancy 5 star hotel, but it was a comfy one. Joe at the front desk was very respectful and always super attentive. The free breakfast was better than expected (Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, different kinds of breads you could choose from and different cereals as well. The work out facility was small but quiet and always clean. Overall, my family had a pleasant stay.

Nice large room. Everything was clean. Comfy bed. Not so comfy couch but we really didnt need that.

Friendly staff and service. I was in Room 120 and all was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again with their fair prices also.

I had a fine stay at your hotel. The place is clean and quiet. The staff was great and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast.

The room was nice and their complimentary breakfast was good. Problems were that once we flushed the toilet it kept running the whole time. The ice and vending machines weren't working and the lady behind the counter had a little bit of an attitude.

All staff we interacted with were great. Housekeeping could be a bit more thorough, but nothing outrageously bad.

This is our go to place to stay when we visit Reading. I undersrand the hotel is undergoing changes but that should not effect service. We were told they are short staffed so only rooms that are checked out will be cleaned but that ours would be cleaned anyway. Our room was never cleaned despite being told it would be. My husband had to go to the front desk twice for towels and we had to empty our own trash. If I wanted to tend to my own room I would have stayed at an Airbnb. The fridge was unplugged when we checked in. We plugged it in only to find out the fan made a clunky noise when it turned on and off. Someone at the hotel said it would be looked at. It never was. The food.prep room is located off the fitness room. The food server is in and out of the kitchen constantly and uses the metal door stop which makes a loud bang when she goes thru the door. The smell of food and the door banging makes for a distracted workout. Wokring out after breakfast is over is best. Maybe part of.the renovation should be to move the fitness room. Also people were spitting on the ground in the parking lot which is disgusting. We had to make sure to look down and be mindful of where we walked. Maybe move the smoking area away from all entrances so we don't have to walk thru and smell tobacco as we enter or exit. All in all this was our worst stay ever and probably won't return until the transition is done.

Front staff was pleasant and friendly. Easy to find location. Room was clean
