The Half Moon Inn and Country Lodge

Service and food very good only ****** was my jacket potato was very small and my salad was mainly lettuce! The place was very busy and had a good a**osphere the menu was extensive and had plenty to choose from almost spoilt for choice would definitely recommend

Parking was great and staff seemed friendly. The downside was the accommodation, the room was very small, drab decor,dark, door stuck and struggled to open with key, lots of marks and plaster damaged in many places, Attempts to patch up with paint doesn't match. The shower head was covered in mould. TV's are old fashioned. The road was damp and very noisy from where we were in room 2. Needs money spent on the rooms to upgrade to a good standard. A travelodge would be an upgrade. Dissapointing as reviews seemed positive but based on our own experience these seem ridiculous. The photos don't lie. Cant comment on food or pub just accommodation.

First time here our friends have been before well what a lovley Sunday lunch and the cheese cake for dessert beautiful will definitely go back good value for money staff nice and friendly people as well will have to try out other meals 😊 car parking good 👍 what a lovley pub

Visited the Half Moon on Sunday for a roast dinner. Delicious, well cooked and great value Roast Dinner and amazing dessert. Have visited The Half Moon on numerous occasions and have never had a bad meal. I can thoroughly recommend dining here.

For many years before we left the area we came for meals, and I can say standards are still outstanding. Delicious food great service all these years later. We also stayed over night and had breakfast. Outstanding, functional rooms, clean and did the job. Breakfast was more continental but brilliant, great service and quality toast and croissants. Highly recommend both food and b& b. Thank you

Had a trip with two friends to deal with some family things. Have stayed before and it was as good the second time. Food freshly cooked and excellent quality and very reasonable prices. Staff friendly and very efficient. Be going again as it is a gem

What a wonderful place. Staff and management were so friendly, treated like royalty, room was exceptional and the price was cheap. Food in the bar was well worth trying and the breakfast (although not a cooked breakfast) was satisfying and there was ample to go round,

This excellent Inn has all the qualities of a great local. Marvellous menu, fantastic variety of foods to meet all needs and tastes. The portions are always generous and the staff are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The Half Moon has an excellent range of drinks, including superb draught beers. I've stayed here and visited here for meals when passing; it's a real gem.
