"Absolutely fabulous stay! The staff are welcoming and hospitable. Michael and Megan are great hosts and can be very proud of their team. Emma and Will are fabulous! Nothing too much trouble, advice on area and local knowledge a bonus! The chefs, Paul, Scott and Steve (+Michael!) serve great food! Our en-suite room was clean, quiet and serviced daily. Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. If you come back from a days adventuring .. bring an appetite! The evening meals are fabulous! Overall a great stay! Thank you to the team at The Granby Inn!"

"Lovely property situated in the middle of a beautiful village, free parking nearby. Delicious lunch in the courtyard in the sun, and a delicious meal in the restaurant in the evening. All staff very helpful and super friendly. Our room was a little on the small side, a little noisy during the day as above the kitchen so could hear all the conversations going on there, but very comfortable and had a great sleep. The dinner bed and breakfast package was good value. Would certainly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area for sightseeing, the castle and river only minutes away on foot and a short drive to the glorious beaches."

"A nossa estadia aqui está Muito agradável, e há muitas opções no menu do pequeno-almoço.Um chá de boas-vindas e um copo de chá com jam e creme à chegada. Roz e Ian eram amigáveis e muito acomodantes e fizeram várias sugestões de lugares para comer. Recomendo a Pequena Itália, uma pizzaria italiana e a saída (duas vezes levámos Lasagne e Pizzas de volta para comer no Haven) e a cabeça dos turcos (donde comemos três vezes)."

"This was our second trip to Westfield shepherd's huts but this time we stayed in Curlew. It was absolutely perfect. The hut was spotless and had everything we needed ( although a mirror on the wall by the sockets would be a very welcome addition) The welcome hamper is a lovely touch. We cooked outside on the fire and then lit the fire in the hut and we were so cosy. So much wildlife to see and just a lovely place to relax for a few days. Would return without hesitation."

Breakfast was very good and the service and staff were excellent. The road into the estate was full of pot holes and really needs attention!"

"We had a 2 night stay at the weekend. All the staff were very helpful and Christines dietary needs would have been met if we had let them know in advance. (Gluten dairy and Caffeine free) There was Caffeine free tea already available. we were told that if we had let them know they would have have got the required things for us. They did go out and specially purchase dairy free spread for the final day. The room was comfortable and, although I was a little apprehensive being on the front of the building, there seemed to be no traffic noise. The only real problem we had was the bottom step of the stairs was narrow and it would have been nice if it stood out in some way. Also Christine had difficulty with the stairs and a second hand rail would have been nice. May be the car park could have done with a few pot holes filling. All in all though I am glad we stayed here."

"The Anglers Arms is a former coaching inn, once on the main road, but now bypassed by the A697 bridge, and so a quiet and secluded haven. As such an old building, it has its shabby aspects, but our room was bright and fresh and comfortable, as were the bar and the breakfast room. Our twin bedded room was small but comfortable, with great views over Weldon Bridge, very comfortable beds, and a decent shower. Midweek, it was a very quiet room, but it was over the bar so might get a bit noisy at weekends. The real reason to stay at the Anglers Arms is the food, which is superb--so good that we ate dinner there on all three nights of our stay. Good range of beers on tap. The breakfasts were also excellent, with a wide choice--we recommend the Craster kippers! All the staff we met on our stay, from the moment we arrived, were cheery, efficient, and very helpful. It's a good location for Rothbury, Alnwick, and the Northumberland Coast, and sits right on St Oswald's Way. And one of the locals at the bar gave us some great advice on Saxon churches to visit!"
