The hotel is well located and the personal is very helpful and dedicated. The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious, the bed is comfy. The restaurant is good, with not many options for lunch and dinner but the breakfast is diversified and has many good options. The only minus is the bathroom cleaning, that could be improved. Overall is a good hotel for short and longer stays.

There was plenty of hot water and the sea view was very nice. That’s about it. The hotel is in a very sad state. Our first room had no AC. After leaving it on for three hours, it had cooled to a balmy 30 degrees Celsius. The repair guy just told us to leave it on for a few days (of our 3 day stay). Despite the hotel being mostly empty, they were very reluctant to move rooms. Ultimately they did and the AC was adequate. The rest of the room, not so much Sheets were torn and threadbare. There were exposed wires to the outlet in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it seems the maintenance requests for the last 15 years May have gone missing. The tiles were filthy and moldy. The towel rack was dangling from the wall. We were visiting during Ramadan, so food options were very limited in the city. Our lunch here was pretty awful. The buffet had all the canisters unlit and the food cold. Salad items and beans left out overnight and just reused each day. The pool had not been cleaned in months and had no chairs. The guard told me that no one ever uses it. The worst part was the communication. They could give no recommendations for anywhere else to eat (“everything is closed during Ramadan”). Not true, we later found a very nice restaurant. We were also told that it was impossible to find a taxi after 7pm. We walked out the gate and within 30 seconds flagged one down. They seemed totally puzzled on where to get a Covid test even though it seems there is ONE place. The answer to nearly every question was “it’s not possible” I set low expectations given the infrastructure in *****i but this place was not good. We saw many better options

I try hard to be positive, so let’s start there. The towel rack was dangling from the wall. Pretty awful. We were visiting during Ramadan, so food options were very limited in the city. Our lunch here was pretty awful. The buffet had all the canisters unlit and the food cold. My penne arribiata off the menu arrived as spaghetti with meat sauce and a shrug. You had a choice of coke or water - nothing else. They seemed totally puzzled on where to get a Covid test even though it seems there is ONE place and it’s down the road. The answer to nearly every question was “it’s not possible” I set low expectations given the infrastructure but I think one could find better here

So, there are many good things about the hotel. For instance, the front-desk staff are very friendly and helpful (except over the phone). The location is much better than the Golden Tulip's and the grounds are beautiful. All the basics are there, including hot water in the rooms. Okay, now the negatives. First, WiFi is available, but is extremely slow and patchy in the rooms. For instance, it would not connect from one side of my room at times. Second, the rooms need a serious cleanup. There is visible mold in the bathrooms for instance. Towels had stains on them that looked like they've been there forever. Finally, the front desk set me up with a person (he seemed like the "fixer" that was allowed to operate) for my COVID-19 test (PCR). The guy calls a doctor to come to the hotel to take your sample, which is convenient. After that, everything went wrong - this guy is incredibly dishonest. I asked for a certificate in English - he said no problem, it was in French. Okay, so he can get someone to translate it.. for a fee. Fine, it's the day of departure, I need the certificate - but I tell him to make sure that the sample collection date is on the translated certificate - no, it isn't. Finally, when paying the man for the flawed certificate, all of a sudden he does not have change. Despite the Comoros being a country where credit cards are barely accepted anywhere. So - the front desk staff are helpful. The hotel has all that you need (like hot water), but not much more. Is there a better choice in *****i? That is doubtful. I would say avoid their fixer - have Adore Comores organize your PCR test instead. Get a SIM card for internet. With those, the biggest problems can be avoided.

This is truly one of the filthiest hotels I stayed in Africa. The young manager, from Mauritius, can only be seen on the pool area in his tee shirt, otherwise he is hiding in his office. We kept 5 rooms and a large boardroom for 5 nights, we never met any manager. The Internet photos are taken years ago, totally misleading. My room 101, the door needs to be kicked to close it, the safe box only works with the hotel key, the TV control unit lost its cover, the batteries always fall out, the bathroom metal is rusted, fittings fall out of the wall, my cupboard has no rail so you cannot hang up anything, the cupboard doors are wedged, it needs a muscle builder to try to move the doors, the bathroom sink overhead light fitting cannot take a bulb…..and so on. NOBODY CARES !!! Some staff members are very friendly but untrained. The food is awful. Breakfast buffet is filthy with birds flying around from outside. Frequent power cuts, after which. Staff forget to switch on the air con. The hotel entrance is a bunch a washed out sand holes. Behind the toilet are old ruin stains and all sealing is gone long ago.
