Knights Inn Pine Brook

Let me start by stating that I do not ask for much in a hotel. All I ask for are clean sheets and a generally clean room and a quiet place to sleep as I typically do not spend much time at the hotel beyond sleeping. So, I have had plenty of experience staying in hotels after reading review after review stating that the hotel is not fit for human occupancy only to stay myself and leave a review stating that previous reviewers either need to lower their standards or raise their price point. Sadly, that is not the case this time. I will detail some of the cons of my experience at The Pine Brook Knights Inn... Upon arrival, we immediately conducted a bed bug check. Sheets appeared to be clean; however, our teenage son decided to flap the duvet around, leaving a trail of crumbs, etc. on the sheets. Duvet had burn marks and was also generally dirty. Room smelled heavily of smoke. Noticed that the bathroom floor was filthy (I mean it, filthy) as though it hadn't been mopped in forever or swept as there was a collection of litter under and around the heater. Shower appeared semi-clean; but, I wasn't taking any chances and wore flip flops to shower. Initially thought other floors were cleaner than the bathroom anyway; but, our white socks turned black revealing otherwise. Towels were cleaner than the floor; but, I had to pick some hairs off before use. No coffee, I mean at all. None in the lobby in the morning and no coffee maker in the room.

Room does not match photos. VERY dilapidated, not clean, cigarette burns and other stains on bedding, springs coming thru mattress, horrible smell, needs paint, bent electrical outlet cover plates. Massive amounts of bleach used right before our arrival. Evidence of mold mildew growth on many surfaces. VERY disappointing, I would have immediately demanded my money back and found a different place if our itinerary were not so tight that day.

Carpets were dirty. Tv screen full of fingerprints and walls were full of dust and some stains. Also toilet seat was flapping around almost completely unattached.

dirtiest most disgusting room i've ever stayed in. mold in the bathroom. floor hadn't been vacuumed in god knows how long. mattress was basically springs with a cover over it. non smoking room that wreaked of smoke.

I didn't expect much from this economy motel from the beginning, but what I encountered was the most horrible experience ever. The room was not just dirty, it was downright filthy and looked like it's never been cleaned in years. All the furniture and walls were covered in grease. There were dust and bread crumbs everywhere, the mirror was so greasy, you could not see anything in it, and there were even dried up vomit on the bed cover. Disgusting! On top of that the AC was noisy and clunky. I demanded a different room and got one, but it was not much better. On top of all that, they have cracked trash bins outside the room entrances, and many times I saw rats coming in and out of them, spreading trash around. I complained a few times, but nothing was done. Most of the personnel I spoke to doesn't speak English.

This is just a basic motel. With clean rooms and a pleasant staff. It is a no frills stay but is affordable.

OK place don’t expect anything more than sleep and leave quiet place though

Staff was incredibly hrlpful, and went above and beyond.
