This is our second visit to la Clef des Champs in Montpinchion, Normandy. You will recieve a big warm welcome from the owners Valerie and Alban who both speak quite good English and are able to understand you, and make themselves understood. The gite itself is outside the small village of Montpinchion that has a small school, bar and church, the nearest shops are a short car ride in Cerrisy du Salle where there is a lovely bakery in the central square and general store florist, bank and more. But getting back to the Gite, it is extremely clean, and very well equipped with everything and more that you need on a holiday. Valerie leaves a lovely welcome pack including wine, cider. There are some essentials like condiments left for you as well as coffee filters for the coffee machine. The information pack is really good, and very clear. There is also a good t.v, wii fi and board games left for you. The floorboards are squeeky but it is what you would expect in such an old building. Outside there is a sheltered table and chairs, as well as sunloungers and and a patio area with seating. We enjoyed looking at the night sky and shooting stars while laying on sunloungers. We haven't small children but there is a well equipped children's play area and for young and old there is a great petanque area with everything provided, Alban will show you how to play if u sure. We can not recommend this gite enough that is why we returned. It is so quiet that we all slept in every morning.
