This is a beautiful campsite set in woods. Wifi reception is everywhere. Staff are really Lovely, so incredibly helpful. Lots of space between mobile homes. A car is absolutely needed (astronomical hiring prices from Pisa airport), train service isn't great and no bus to the campsite from the train station. €100 for family of five to go from Pisa to camp (shuttle to train from Pisa + train ticket + taxi). Car needed to go to supermarket, shop on site not only far too expensive but fruit, veg & meat quality extremely poor. Suncream was €25 a bottle. Lidl or Coop nearby were brilliant, lovely homegrown fruit & veg. Coop was great if you want little pool toys/snorkel. Utterly fabulous places within 60-90min car journey to visit for day trips. Just a precaution re Pisa airport, if you are renting a car, you have to take a shuttle that's v hot to go to rent-a-car terminal. It's only a five min journey but 20min wait & it's really hard in intense heat with children and no air conditioning on bus - everyone squished in with big suitcases & standing room mostly. It took about 10mins just to load the bus with people & cases. So make sure kids watered & calm in airport before heading to shuttle. Maybe one adult could wait at airport door with kids in shade while other queues with bags for bus? Airport is v small and shuttle 30secs down path from door. If you are taking train from Pisa, the shuttle from the airport to the train station is €5per person (child ticket only up to age 12). Yes peak season or long weekends would be tough on the campsite, like any other. The pools are perfect and there's a water park down the road if kids want slides. Place is really clean and I noticed a comment about "old" toilets. It's not salubrious but they are perfectly clean.
