Not a great start but did get better through the 4 days. Our arrival was frosty, especially madame manager who couldn’t crack a smile for her customers. Next it’s a 4 star hotel that wanted payment for the room upfront. Then they didn’t accept Amex and finally, laundry service was suspended but they could give us the details of do it yourself launderettes in the town. Not a good start to our expensive stay. That said we had a very nice bungalow, well maintained and a nice cool retreat from the blistering summer heat. Great shower pressure, comfortable beds. All the important things for a vacation. The weird process of having to book specific times for breakfast and dinner didn’t make much sense, especially since there were never more than 4 tables occupied for the times we were there. Could be a process still in place from the pandemic. The jewel was the roof pool and solarium. A lovely place to chill after tourism. The staff we engaged with were very nice and helpful. It’s a shame our initial experience was tainted by management and some obscure policies you’d not expect for a hotel with 4 stars.

Overall, we had an amazing stay here. The property is stunning in an area of Portugal that is also stunning, surrounded by hills, cork trees, vineyards, and quaint towns. This property has so much potential, and the wine is very good! The main building is kept up very well, and the path around the lake was wonderful. We also went during the harvest festival, which was among the most amazing experiences we've ever had, when traveling. The food and wine were delicious. The activities were fun and went into the late night. The people were kind. Now the negative the L'and View suites are not kept up particularly well. Other room categories may be far better maintained, as is the property and the main building. Bulbs are out, and they need a deep cleaning and a refurbishment. We had to switch rooms during our stay because the A/C unit was not working well, curtains were torn, and the room had some cleanliness issues. The second room was better but also seemed worn. For the price point, we expected greater care toward these details.

We went on a trip to relax and meet the city of Evora with two nights reservation with breakfast included in this hotel. The hotel was in the middle of the hotel, with a stream of water, which was in the rest of the hotel, including some rooms. After a few minutes, he realized that he was wrong and we made the rest of the payment. The lights of the corridors also remain connected overnight, making it between night lights to the room, because above the door there is a glass part. Breakfast is basic but diversified and always equal. The swimming pool and the outdoor space are pleasant, and the hotel has no restaurant or bar to eat or drink during the day. On the penultimate day, the room access card was cancelled to which the same receptionist said we were taking advantage of not paying the second night when we had already made the payment and with it !! The positive points of this hotel are the location and private park.

Staying in a historic place full of history that was preserved is always something to retain. On top of that feel being well received is always good. The place is amazing, the people are friendly, definitely a place to return and enjoy not only the Pousada but also the Arraiolos village and the surrounds.

We loved this hotel. Stayed here with my 18 year old daughter for one night on our way to the Algarve. It was lovely. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. The pool is perfect and food excellent. The service was excellent as well. Only one small problem- ants in the bathroom. I reported this to the staff and they apologized and thanked me and said they would take care of it. They also recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner nearby.

We had spent 3 nights at this Hilton and we got a top rate service, starting from the reception, with Moises, Raquel, Davide, the room services are excellent, as the different restaurants, where I remember just Celso, Diogo, Paolo. The breakfast display is amazing. The rooms large with excellent beds, plus free cover parking for gold members. If in Evora don’t look around this is the place.

Too beautiful hotel, great location, super breakfast, free parking on public holidays, weekdays, 5 euros a night! Clean, tidy, bathroom and room are the biggest in the whole Portugal trip! Must like it! Evora has a lot of extra points for this hotel! New Year's dinner is also great!
