Marram

I came with a group of 4 girls and we had the best time staying at the Marram. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff - shoutout to Lucas, Javier and the front desk team for making our stay so great. The room was beautiful, beds super comfy, and amazing le labo products. The restaurant was also incredible. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

The BEST place to stay in Montauk maybe all of the hamptons. I can’t even begin to describe the amazing time I had with my girlfriends. This place has everything and more. Yoga classes, bikes, beach chair access are all included in your stay, you get so much for what you pay for. The staff is also unbelievable. So attentive, the cafe workers remembers our names our orders etc and the front desk staff gave us a complimentary late check out to accommodate our train time. Really can’t rave enough about this place. You’ll leave so refreshed and relaxed I will only be staying at Marram from now on.

Two great things about Marram. The location and closeness to the beach is incredible. The pastries in the morning are delicious. But that’s about it. This hotel would be brilliant if the rooms were £400 a night. But when I’m spending £1200 a night there are a few things I expect. 1. Polite and friendly staff. 2. Room service. 3. A mini bar that contains more than water. 4. The ability to get food or a drink after 4pm. Or literally any food or drink on a Monday or a Tuesday. 5. A sink that isn’t in my bedroom (literally at the front door of the room so someone coming in hits you if you’re cleaning your teeth). Don't be fooled by the “fires and smores” marketing nonsense. Someone comes along and pours water on all the fires at 9.30pm whether you’re sitting there and enjoying it or not. I felt like I was being financially fleeced all the time I was there to enjoy a view.

Disappointed in the service at the beach and fire pits on my first day - so much so I didn’t bother on my second day. I was not seated on the beach, nor was my attendance at my fire pit acknowledged and started. My breakfast order was also overlooked. As a solo traveler, I felt I was treated much differently than those in groups. The bed was amazing but the floor of the room felt like an unfinished basement floor - I felt like I had to have shoes on at all times.

Came for our honeymoon and was immediately upgraded to a nicer room and champagne was waiting for us! Beautiful grounds. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location into town. Will be recommending and will be back!

Always a wonderful experience staying at Marram! The rooms are so clean and the ambiance is very relaxing. We already can't wait to go back!

Great location on the ocean and near town, and a bunch of good amenities like seating areas and fire pits. Rooms are a little small, but well designed. We had an issue with service. Most of the staff were very nice, but a few were straight up rude, to the point where other staff apologized for them. We told the manager Stephen some observations and got a weird response. Half way through our stay they took away complimentary coffee in the morning and when I asked why, the manager said because it would be bad for business for their cafe. The restaurant was closed for some days and only open for certain meals on other days, we asked the staff abt its hours and got different answers from them, which was inconvenient because we were relying on it for food. I let the manager know and he said we should of checked the website, which was kind of missing the point. We also let him know the continental breakfast was lacking, as it was just chocolate chip cookies. His response was they couldn’t have breakfast food because of space constraints (?). Reminder to people that the restaurant is closed Tues/Wed, which means you can’t get any food or drink whatsoever at the hotel on those days. So overall good experience, but the service / hospitality was weird / poor enough that we won’t stay again or recommend it to friends.

We came in late on Thursday night so understandably, no one could check us in. Friday and Saturday were our only full days in the hotel. On Friday morning, our toddler was napping so maid service understandably skipped our room. That afternoon, we noticed that the soaps were not refilled and I had to ask the front desk 2-3 times before Michelle finally was able to help me. I felt it was a bit much to have to ask more than twice for soap. On Saturday, our power went out at 9 PM and we tried to contact the front desk and no one responded to the calls or e-mails and this was never addressed either. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay, the location, the professionalism of the staff. Michelle was always the most responsive and kind. The food was great too.

It’s true that the location is very good and we had rooms with a great view, but the fact remains the cost doesn’t match what you get in return, somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. Staff are very young and sometimes a little rough around the edges. Cost of food & drink against what you get is mismatched. They claim to be Eco and Sustainable but give you single use plastic cutlery with papier-mâché bowls etc that everyone dumps in mixed waste bins. How to recycle and where to place separate items was not clear at all. Rooms are a little cramped and basic. So value for money is poor. However location is perfect
