Domìa Boutique Hotel Mondello

Domia Boutique Hotel made it was one of the most pleasant stays. The intimate environment was cozy with minimalistic style. The rooms were squicky clean. Check-in and check-out was smooth and the front desk was friendly and took great care of the guests. Breakfast and lunch were outstanding. The food was fresh and delicious. The swimming pool was a life saver during the hot summer days. I would stay at Domia again and would recommend to others.

We took over most of this fabulous hotel for a family reunion. The proprietors were incredibly accommodating for all ages! including making special pancakes for breakfast for the young ones with allergies, and buying enough swordfish in the market for a full sit down dinner for the adults. The hotel and service were truly exceptional!!!

I could write an endless list of reasons to recommend this beautiful hotel, but simply put it is just an absolutely fabulous place to stay. Lovely, kind and welcoming staff, great room, lovely pool and relaxation area and amazing food & service. Truly 5 star. Thanks to Angela, Floriana, Jussi, Valentina and all in the kitchen and house team for a truly wonderful and memorable holiday. Grazie mille. Take me back to Domia!

We have returned home from the most beautiful 6 days at the wonderful Domia Boutique Hotel. This wonderful Hotel delivers on every level firstly from our luxury collection at the airport with a private transfer organised by the Hotel. To arriving 20 minutes later to what can only be described as visiting family at an exclusive Villa. The staff are extremely welcoming in every area of the Hotel and go beyond in welcoming you and helping in every possible way. There is a lovely restaurant at the Hotel with absolute Michelin star food served by the wonderful Chef Florene it just has to be experienced. There is not one thing in which the lovely owner Angela and her fabulous staff have not thought of. The rooms are so comfortable and spotless with luxury toiletries bathrobes slippers supplied. The Hotel has a real sense of peacefulness throughout but it’s real quality is it’s extremely professional caring staff from the front desk of Valentina Gabriel Guseppi who helped with so many requests before and when we arrived to it’s knowledgeable professional restaurant staff of Constanza Catriona Jessie Jason Franseco who took such great care of us throughout our stay. We spent 7 nights here at the start of September and it felt like we’d been there for weeks when we left, so relaxed were we. We’d gone to Palermo as our friend was getting married but wanted to stay outside of the city. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel. Prior to going I’d emailed to ask for a hairdresser recommendation. This was sorted easily and Giuseppe’s sister came to the hotel and put my hair up. She did a wonderful job. The hotel is small and so quiet. We were in room 3 which backed on to the kitchen. I’m a light sleeper and did worry but the soundproofing is excellent. We never heard anything. I slept well every night! The air con was excellent which was much needed due to high temperatures and the room was lovely. It was cleaned every day. The pool is a welcome respite when it’s hot and there’s plenty of loungers and umbrellas. It is close to the beach and the hotel has a key to a gate that cuts off some time. There’s a supermarket about 5 mins walk. It’s small but has everything. Ask staff for recommendations for a local pizza place but book it. You can takeaway too. Nicest pizza I’ve ever had. The hotel’s restaurant is locally known as high quality. We ate there twice and the food is spectacular. Breakfasts are beautiful. If they have sugar donuts get two!! In fact get 2 of everything!! What makes this hotel so special are the staff. They are all fabulous and go out of their way to help and just be friendly. The owner is the same. Jussi, Constanza, Jason, Giuseppe and Valentina THANK YOU. The other staff are just as good but I did not catch their names so sorry! Jussi summed up this hotel. She said she loves to work there which to me says it all. If staff are happy then so are guests. The owner is looking at getting the pool heated next year and considering Christmas openings. I will be going back.

Domia is the quintessential boutique hotel. I really don't have any criticisms. It delivered everything we expected from a boutique experience: - It is a beautiful hotel - with spacious and functional rooms - It is peaceful - there are only 9 rooms so you often have the entire pool to yourself! - Personalised service - the staff are excellent and really make you feel at home (special shout out to Giuseppina and Valentina!) - The food is fantastic - restaurants in Mondello are hit and miss so Domia is always a reliable option. Breakfast is Amazing! All the Sicilian pastries and eggs made to order - Prime location - 5 minute walk to the beach, but just the right distance away from the busy bay area.

Perhaps one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in. Just had an amazing warmth from the owner and staff. Everything was quality: food, staff, rooms, setting, pool, drinks. It feels like you are guests at a private villa, as there are only about 10 rooms. You are welcomed like friends. Pros: The food is amazing. Dinner is Michelin star quality. The staff are true professionals and are perhaps the best I have ever experienced. Hotel design and interiors are perfect. Quality of the toiletries are very high, which adds to the experience. The location is great, with easy access to Mondello if you want to head to the beach or eat off site. Things to consider: Parking is on the road, but it’s a dead end and we parked easily. Could put more spare toilet rolls in the rooms, as we had to ask for more a couple of times. That’s all! Amazing hotel.

We had a very warm welcome from the owner and all of the staff at this small boutique hotel. Our room was very comfortable with a large terrace with table and chairs and sunbeds. The room was well equipped with tea making facilities, fresh water daily and an exceptionally high standard of toiletries provided. Breakfast was amazing, with a small buffet of fresh fruit and pastries, cereal etc. also lovely cooked food available. It is also well worth booking dinner, very innovative, highly quality, but is also adaptable to the needs of different needs. The pool area is well equipped with sunbeds and well served with drinks and snacks when required. It’s a short walk to the beach and then onwards to shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit if you prefer a small quiet hotel with excellent, friendly service.

Truly a hidden gem—worthy of being listed on a specialist site such as Mr & Mrs Smith not just for the comfort and level of service but the food as well. The breakfast which is included is worthy of a five star hotel but the restaurant where you can also book for lunch and dinner is also highly recommended. Honestly ate at many local restaurants but this was the over and above the best in the area of Mondello and arguably Palermo. Focus on season and fresh local ingredients. Pool and the garden area where I spent many hours when I didn’t fancy the beach—10 min walk away was an added bonus. There are only 9 rooms so it felt like so it always felt intimate and exclusive. Just the most relaxing place to stay surrounded by lovely people and endless sunshine. Can’t recommend Domìa enough.
