A beautiful discovery arrived without a booking and managed to rooms for a group of five. The staff were very accommodating as with the twin room we were able to share between three with a bed each, surprisingly all doubles. The rooms are very spacious, en-suite (shower & Bath), rooms air conditioned and worked very well. However the housekeeping was a bit of detail had to request twice for linens to be changed, whites have no room for error. The food mainly served as buffet is great a great selection however meals do not have drinks included, understandable for alcoholic but non alcoholic is just outrageous. Unfortunately for us we were not advised in the first night dining the bill unexpected surprise. Service by the staff was just exceptional and went the extra mile to ensure guest were comfortable. Evening entertainment was great on the first night we enjoyed the Maasai cultural dance, on the 2nd night the Mijikenda (one of the tribes within the coast of Kenya), on our final night a live band selection music soul to local Kenyan music. A range of activities to get involved in beach volleyball to water aerobics, gym, sauna (at extra cost) and you can also go for a run at the beach which is quite in the morning or late evening without been hustled by hawkers to buy an overpriced souvenirs. The hotel is further away from Mombasa so it does require commuting into town which can be pricy. Stayed half board breakfast and dinner at Ksh 30,000 ($350) per night five adults one double and twin room, stayed for 3nights and worth every penny though next visit may stay over the weekend as the rates were more reasonable.
