"We had a mostly pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The place was clean, which was a big plus, and the host thoughtfully provided breakfast items, making our morning much easier. Security was tight. The airport shuttle service was incredibly convenient, on time, and saved us a lot of hassle. Our host was great at communication. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it for the cleanliness and amenities."

African Heritage House

"We learned of the African Heritage House from a Nairobi-born shop owner in Brooklyn - whom I asked "what is the one thing we should not miss on our visit"? This place magnificent. It is at the same time a wonderfully lived-in house and a museum, and our amazing and knowledgeable guide Hillary walked us through so many interesting pieces of art and tools and jewelry and architecture and a combination of all of these things. You couldn't stop your head from swinging to get a look at everything. It was fascinating to experience the differences within African cultures and also see them melded together so beautifully in this house. We took the 4pm tour with dinner after and it was perfect--it was a four course meal and we sat on the patio overlooking the park and it felt like quite the special kickoff to our trip. We were there in low season (March) but still surprised to be the only ones on the tour which was fun to ask all the questions we wanted and get a really personal experience. One tip - we had trouble getting an Uber on the way back (at this point it was probably 8:30pm) so make sure to plan ahead or chat with the host about organizing a ride."
