Maistra Select Mlini Villas and Apartments

We stayed for 7 nights with our teenage daughter. We stayed in a villa right over the sea. The views were stunning. Pool was lovely as where all the staff. Lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance. We took sea taxi to cavtat and dubrovnik. I highly recommend you download uber app and use this also as its a cheap way to explore. We would highly recommend staying for a fabulous holiday.

We’ve just come back from 5 days/4 nights from Mlini, Croatia. It was my husband, me & our 15yr old son. We stayed in the apartments which are a part of Hotel Astraea. We booked a 1 bed apartment with a double sofa bed on the lounge for our son. The bed was already made up for him, so we didn’t have to sort it out ourselves. The kitchen is very small but fine for us. It has 2 pots, a small frying pan, a microwave, cutlery, glasses & cups. Also a mini fridge & cooker. I was really disappointed with the lack of a toaster. Could really have used one. The bread we bought wasn’t very nice on its own. We ate breakfast at the hotel everyday at a cost of €12 a person for a buffet. We ate one evening meal at the hotel which was €25 each. Again this was a buffet. But you did have to pay for drinks separately. We went into Dubrovnik via hotel shuttle taxi which cost €21 euros for the 3 of us. It took about 15min. The taxi back was a hefty €24. I’d highly recommend die loading the Uber app which we ended up doing. The trips are literally half the price. Dubrovnik (old) is absolutely stunning. We did the wall walk which took an hour & a half. We got beautiful photos all the way round. We could see the Adriatic on one side & the new Dubrovnik on the other side. We could also see Lokrum Island. Unfortunately when we returned the next day to go there they cancelled all trips due to the windy weather. So if you can go then do it. It looked so beautiful on YouTube. Dubrovnik has lots of shops and particular heavy on the Game if Thrones shops. We found eating out & even just a coffee was really expensive. We couldn’t really cook in the apartment for all of us so we just ate out. A lot of money was spent! There’s a small shop 5-10min walk from the hotel. Also the water taxi from Dubrovnik to Mlini cost €45 fir all 3 of us and took 30min. We also took a trip to Cavtat which is the other way 15min. It was okay but not much there other than the harbour and some shops. There is a beach but about a 15min walk according to my phone. We were too tired to do it due to all the other walking we’d already done in the week. All in all, a great place to stay.

Excellent, peaceful location with fantastic sunset views over the bay, spotlessly clean apartment, and professional service at the reception made our stay a delightful experience. Easy to make day trips from Mlini to Dubrovnik, Cavtat and Monte*****.

Lovely hotel with apartments and villas,in idyllic setting,fantastic views,excellent service especially reception. The hotel is actually part of the astarea mlini hotel but listed separately they share facilities and have 4 restaurants on site,the oleander bar and grill,an Italian bistro,and the konaba which was shut when we were there,plus both sites have a buffet restaurant serving breakfast and lunch,best for breakfast the oleander as the hotels buffet was just OK,but the breakfast in the oleander was superb. Pool is lovely as is the beach,free sunbeds at the pool but sunbeds payable at the beach. Nearest supermarket 20 minutes walk away down the prom to next town,small shop on site selling water,pop,crisps,sweets. Mlini isn't for party animals or anyone who wants a vast choice of restaurants as there's about 9 and 4/5 in high season are owned by the maistra hotel complex,there's about 4 bars also in the village,we drank and eat in a few I've done separate reviews for them. The hotel apartments are lovely well equipped and cleaned daily,fridge,2 hob rings,microwave and crockery,cutlery,glasses and cooking utensils and pans,not that we used them,had no intention of we just prefer apartments to a hotel room. If you have walking difficulties this hotel may not be for you as its in a bay with a steep climb up to the main road where the local buses go from,however the prom is flat and water taxis go from the small harbour to Cavtat and Dubrovnik,as long as you stay in one of the hotels you'll be fine,the apartments are on a slope to get too tho. We wouldn't return to mlini not because of the hotel but because mlini itself not eneugh choice of restaurants with variety for us,we would however stay in Cavtat or Dubrovnik,The hotel and apartments are fantastic,mlini is very beautiful unfortunately tho not eneugh there for us.

Apartment has amazing views over the sea. Loads of room & comfortable bed. Living room area has a comfortable sofa bed. Small kitchen area with fridge microwave & double hob. Enough crockery for breakfast etc. bathroom has large deep bath with very powerful over bath shower. Apartments are only a couple of minutes walk to beech or pool area. Although a few steps to the apartments further back. All restaurants are only a few minutes walk away & have a very Italian influenced menu. All wines in our stay have been really good & good value for money. Boats for site seeing are easy to book & run every half hour to Dubrovnik or Cavtat. Taxi’s are easy to book especially with using Uber app & definitely cheaper then using the taxi rank. Definitely quieter than nearby Cavtat which is directly under the flight path for the airport.

We had a wonderful time in Villas Mlini. Such beautiful surrounding, peaceful area. The reception staff was very helpfull. The Villa was spotlessly clean and lovely cleaning staff did a great job every day. The whole stay exceeded our expectations!

We spent 3 nights in one of the premium sea view apartment. Everything was perfect. Staff is very nice and friendly. Perfect location. Rooms was cleaned daily. We will definitely be back. Thank you for wonderfull stay

The resort is in a beautiful village, Mlini. Our apartment was immaculately clean and we had housekeeping every morning. Somehow they always managed to clean our apartment while we were out for breakfast. The buffet breakfast was lovely with lots of choices. The resort is in a perfect position halfway between the airport and Dubrovnik old town. The fact that we are planning an other holiday to this beautiful place is proof of our recommendation! We had the most amazing stay here in one of the one bedroom apartments with sea view and what a view it was, spectacular. The apartment was a decent size large enough for myself, my husband, and 19 year old son . It was very clean and had everything we needed. There was a lovely pool area but we didn't use it as the sea was right there to take a swim and snorkel. The slight downside was the charge for sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, which were quite expensive at around 7 euros a bed and I think 6 or 8 euros a bed especially if you only want to sit for an hour or so the ones by the pool are free to use. Mlini itself is beautiful with everything within walking distance such as restaurants,bars, and shops . Would very much recommend these apartments and Mlini.
