It was used during the 2022 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. The main building, where the lobby is located, is an old private house built in the Meiji period and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property. This modern Japanese-style hotel has been recognized as a three-star hotel in the Michelin Guide Niigata 2020. The calculated space design has a sense of overkill, but it is calming. I stayed in Classic C-type Room 305 (Komatsu), a twin bed placed on a 10 tatami mat, a space next to 4.5 tatami mats and 3 tatami mats, and a reading space facing the front. It was a bit too large for a couple, but the 3 tatami mats were occupied by chairs and were a little inconvenient. Dinner is a full-course meal called ”Snow Country Gastronomy” based on ingredients and traditional dishes that have been eaten in the snow country for generations. Although the taste was above the level, there was no dish that left an impression with the orthodox menu structure. Although it is a different world once you pass through the gate, it is close to the city area and is along National Route 291, which runs parallel to the Uonuma River, so the location is not very environmentally friendly. It's not bad if you decide to stay home.

Our room was on the second floor of the annex, and some of the rooms had stairs, so it was difficult to carry the pet cart. Even with the door closed, bugs would get in somehow. The open-air bath smelled of gasoline, probably from the inn, and was uncomfortable at night. As it was the season for new rice, we ordered extra breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. Many guests brought their pets, and the inn and its guests were all very pet-friendly.

I was recommended at Uonuma no Sato at Hakkaiyama Brewery and went to a day trip hot spring. The reception of the day trip hot spring was put in by 15:00. It was a good time, so I went to the mixed bathing open-air bath. The dressing room and washing place are separate 々 mixed baths, and the rock baths of the indoor baths that flow directly from the source are small 々 hot and comfortable hot water, and about 80% are partitioned by bamboo walls. The large open-air bath that can be taken out of the mixed bath is very large and there is no roof, and it felt a little lukewarm if it was not near the hot water mouth, probably because of the folding snow. The small open-air bath, which was separated from the large open-air bath, was just the right temperature of the hot springs, making use of the hot springs. I was satisfied with the atmosphere of a hot spring inn in the lobby.

There is a free bus to the hotel from Echigo Yuzawa. The Ishidaru ski resort is right at the door. There are discounts on the tickets. There are many delicious restaurants nearby. The hotel has a 30-minute private bath time for each room guest.

I participated in the fireworks tour for the first time in four years. When I came back to the inn, I had rice balls ready, and I didn't know last time, so I ate a lot of fireworks, so I left the rice balls empty this year. The two-stage big lunch box was delicious. The staff are very warm and cozy inn. There was a big yasude and cockroach in the room and I fought a little from the morning (laughs) After returning from the fireworks, I used the large communal bath. The open-air bath was pitch black (Is it not available in the middle of the night?) I was disappointed. Visited many times in skiing. Hotel stay is the first time. Satisfied and booked with twin. It was a 6 floor room, opposite to Geren, but the view was good, the room was large, and there was no step with the bathroom 〇. The large bath is very large and clean and easy to use, but overall there is no hot spring feeling (?), and the open-air jacket is not liked. Breakfast was a small number of items ＆ the amount of display was also small and lonely. No high-end ingredients are needed. Please devise a little more quantity and quantity.

Good location in front of the ski area. I feel that it is a hotel that is easy to use without problems if it is for skiing purposes. Since the ski resort was the 55th anniversary, I think maintenance is good when I think that the hotel is built that much, but I feel old because the construction is still made in the old days. It is not suitable for those who want to spend a relaxing time in the hot springs. Also, I think that elderly people will have a hard time just walking around the hall. There is an elevator, but most of the time it moves sideways because it is a long hotel. If you are a family with small children, I think children will be happy with this size hotel. Also, the slope is right in front of you, so it is attractive to have good access to the ski resort. There are many meals that children can eat, so there will be no problem. The price is relatively reasonable for a hotel. I thought it was a happy hotel for family trips. However, I think it would be better if there were facilities for children ＆ adults to enjoy a little more at night, such as table tennis, game corners, bar lounges.
