We were booked at beautiful hotels in Milos including Delmar and Phos. We needed one night more where those hotels were not available. It was last minute and during peak season in August so very little available. The reservationist for the other hotels suggested Efi. Since it was just one night and looked decent on their website we agreed and paid in full in advance. We arrived early in the morning to find the room was falsely advertised and was nothing like the room we were shown on the website. When we told the hotel owner that we were very disappointed that the room was inaccurately depicted online, he refused to offer us a room of the same standard we had supposedly booked, he began shouting, became very aggressive, threatening and refused to give us a refund. Not only was the room not what we had booked and subpar we also felt incredibly unsafe around the aggressive owner. We booked last minute at another hotel on the island instead which we made more than double the rate of Efi since it was same day . We have two young children and would not stay at Efi, somewhere their and our safety is at risk. We paid $220 for this room that we didn’t even stay in. They kept our money.. Efi Studios would rather falsely advertise rooms that are a much higher standard than the reality of the rooms they offer and keep people’s money even though we didn’t stay there (our suitcases were kept in our car. We were there at 10am - check in was at 2pm) they refused us even a partial refund. Horrible owners, shabby, low standards apartments. Thieves.
