The only reason I gave it 2* is because the location and OK breakfast (compare to american breakfast). For the price I paid that place doesn't cost that. Room is old and cold, bathroom is rusty, cheap and needed a renovation years ago. It's very cold in room, heater doesn't work, it's noisy in the area on weekend nights. They still have old fashion key! I cared a key in my pocket like I used to do in cheap motels 30 years ago. Common! It's 21 century, spend money on electronic key for the price you charge. Breakfast was OK compare to US breakfast (but it's included in the higher price for the room I paid). Safe box has an old fashion key too and you have to care it on you all the time! I don't recommend the place.

I've stayed at the Bristol since the early 1980s. On this stay I spent 2 nights @ $40 USD daily to enjoy the city after my business meetings concluded in the Alameda/Bellas Artes area. I was given a great 2 bed large room, well appointed and clean on a higher floor. The immediate neighborhood is surrounded by embassies and small shops and restaurants with landmarks nearby. The Reforma, the Angel monument and Chapultepec are nearby (as is Zona Rosa..tackier now than I remember). Front desk helps you get taxis/uber is easy to arrange. I look forward to staying here for the next 10 years when my trips permit.

This property is not a full service hotel, but a boutique apartment hotel. It sits in a rather quiet corner of the lively Polanco District. It is about 100 yards from the four pricey and over hyped hotels that line the Campos Eliseos street. It is not luxurious, but it is small and homey. They even provide you with a simple breakfast and a bottle of clean water. It has a basic kitchenette and the room is ample and could accommodate up to four people comfortably. The bathroom is tiny and awkwardly designed. That is the only major drawback. It is within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, coffee shops and the best of this gentrified part of CDMX. Price is reasonable for the location and super reasonable if you compare it with its neighbors down the road. I would rather stay here than in those over priced properties which, by the way are always crowded with people.
