Hotel Weis

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at Hotel Weingut Weis. As the saying goes, you don't get a second chance to make a first impression. The first impression was excellent. We were greeted at reception very professionally, and the registering was very quick and efficient. We were then shown to the lift, with instructions of how to get to our room. The room was outstanding. My wife has mobility issue and the room was ideal for her condition. At night, for safety reasons, she uses a walker. The bathroom was very spacious, so she had no problems maneuvering. The bed was very comfortable, and there was sufficient storage space. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, there was definitely something there for everyone. We were visiting friends in Mertesdorf, and they invited us to dinner at the hotel. The waitstaff were very professional and attentive, and the dinner was excellent, and the wine was also excellent. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel, and when we visit our friends again we will definitely stay there.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff are bilingual, and are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with both hot and cold options and a wide variety of items to choose from. Parking was free and easy. Great views of the vineyard and very good wines. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

We stayed at the hotel for three days and it was amazing. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel had a warm, cosy and calm atmosphere. We had dinner at the restaurant twice and it was very good. We enjoyed some drinks at the Vinotek and some coffee and cake in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet is amazing as well. But most of all, the staff was exquisite. They were always friendly and kind, nothing was too much to ask and they made sure all the guests were looked after. Trier is only a 15 minute trip away by the way!

Hotel Weingut Weis gets the best recommendations from our stay. Parking a car with the possibility of charging is, if you know the Mosel area, a big advantage. The welcome at the reception was friendly and precise. The rooms are not the biggest, but most have lovely balconies overlooking the vineyards. Unfortunately, the rooms are not soundproofed, so everything can be heard between the rooms. There is a nice restaurant in the hotel with a small but good selection of local dishes. And not to forget the most important thing, the large selection of really good Riesling from their own fields.

From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. Friendly welcome at the reception, lovely quiet room with balcony overlooking the hills. Comfortable bed (pillows a bit soft though), nice clean bathroom with walk-in shower. Friendly, efficient staff on the terras where we had our evening meal which was really delicious. Good breakfast with a large buffet selection. At the hotel, you can also buy wine from the weingut - that's also very good.

This hotel is gorgeous. The location is great with a bust stop outside the door to trier city centre and a 50 m public pool with diving boards and a water slide just down the hill from the hotel. Room very comfortable and spacious. No air conditioning. Food very formal but delicious. Lamb is reccomended.

Dit is al de vierde keer dat we in Hotel Weis verblijven en dat is niet zonder reden. Prima hotel, goed personeel, prima eten en prima wijnen, tja Hotel Weingunt ... Hotele Weis ligt in het plaatsje Mertesdorf. Het ligt op 199 m hoogte in het Ruwertal op 10 km van het centrum van Trier. De Ruwer is een zijriviertje van de Moezel. De ligging spreekt ons ook aan. Mertesdorf is een rustig plaatsje, 10 km van het altijd leuke Trier (volgens sommigen de oudste stad van Duitsland met de bekende Porta Nigra (staat op de Werelderfgoedlijst). Maar Mertesdorf ligt ook vlakbij de Hunsrück: wandelen!

Schöne Zimmer, sehr leckeres Essen, guter Wein, gepflegte Sauna und eine sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung: alles perfekt! Dazu eine wunderschöne Umgebung mit vielen Wandermöglichkeiten an der Mosel und der Ruwer. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Immer wie gerne und sehr zu empfehlen. Die Familie Weis ist sehr sympathisch und hat für jeden ein offenes Ohr. Ihre Mitarbeiter allesamt unglaublich freundlich und kompetent, man merkt es herrscht ein tolles Arbeitsklima. Die Zimmer geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts, sehr sauber und gepflegt, ebenso der SPA! Und das Essen...- Frühstück wie auch das Abendessen waren jedes hervorragend, dazu die passenden Weine...- was will man mehr. Die Restaurants im Haus sind sehr stilvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet, was uns ehr gefiel. Alles in einem sehr zu empfehlen. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, auch für unseren Hund Henry!
