Arena Medulin Mobile Homes

First time we’ve been camping as a family for our main vacation. The pitch we chose was pretty good, enough room for a family tent and a shelter. However, we came in late August, towards the end of the season, and occupancy was definitely thinning out. If every pitch nearby had been occupied, I think it would have been quite claustrophobic. Access to the beaches is excellent; both stony and sandy nearby (within 400m we had a choice of probably 4 beaches), great for snorkeling, great for the kids (D4, D7) to play in the sand. Toilet block normally had showers available without too much of a queue (the inside showers had a VERY short (7 second) timer so we found the “outdoor” (not open) showers to be a better bet. But, despite the constant presence of cleaning staff, their (in)effectiveness meant I’d never have showered without flip-flops. AND only 4 cubicles for males in the toilets. Nearly always a queue, even at 06:00. What else was good? Kids’ entertainment was enjoyed by my daughters, barbecue areas were good (I was lucky, but can imagine they get busy/unavailable in higher season) Had little interaction with staff at all, but was loaned the necessary adapter for my electric hook-up free of charge. Appreciated. Mediocre: the supermarket was well stocked, slight premium on beer, wine and juice (expected and accepted), bread, meat, dairy and toiletries seemed to be much more expensive. Bad: two things. One of which was completely outside the control of the campsite: the loud music which started around 23:00 and continued until 04:00 from a nightclub/bar nearby. Second: towards the end of our stay, a tree fell and destroyed at least one tent and damaged a car (no-one was hurt, Alhamdillulah). There was no storm, no wind. I’m prepared to accept this as an Act of God; my wife thinks more care should be taken with the health of the trees, of which there are many at the campsite; providing welcome shade but here, as we can see, also danger. The truth probably lies somewhere within. Would we come back? Probably not, as we don’t return to holiday destinations. Would we recommend this to others? Probably yes, but with the caveats listed.

We recently stayed at the camp and were plesently surprised by how clean the camp was. The staff is very polite and it's always making sure that the guests have a good time while they're staying there. There are a few restaurants in the camp and the foor is excellent. All the beaches are well suited for yunger kids and babies, they even have a dog's beach that is actually quite nice. Plenty of activities for the kids too over there even in the evening, as there'sa family park with plenty of fun stuff for the kids. In the evening we opted for some wonderful cocktails at the beach bars near the camp. Really fun times! We stayed at other capms too in the past, but this one has the whole family package, for kids and adults.

We go here every year and it's amazing! There is a beach very close to where we are camping and there is a mini amusement park near! I love it and recommend it to everybody who wants to have a fun vacation with their family! 10/10

Campsite has everything You need for perfect vacation, intact Nature, beautiful sandy beaches, it’s close to shops, beach bars. We really enjoyed, and staff is very very friendly and helpful. Hope we will come back.

Amazing place, pictures speak him self

The sea-view-villa was beautiful and the experience awesome. The only thing that needs improvement is cleanliness of the houses (the kitchen had stains and the floors were not impeccable as well) But overall - great experience and will come back soon.

we loved the place, it had all things neccesary. Ppl in reception were friendly and meet all our reguest. Beach is beautiful and sea is really hot. In the afternoon is bit dirty, but is understabńdable according to how many ppl were there. Bathroom are clean all day. My only negativ thing was kids club. In the morning was set some exercise but that never happen. Animators just hand some games and papers to kids and were playing on PC. In the evening there was mini disco from 20:00 to 21:00 it last only about 30 min. So that was dissapointing.

After having to change our booking here in 2020 because of cancelled flights due to covid we decided to definitely visit Medulin this year as it’s one part of Istria we have not stayed in, and as we have visited many Arena resorts in Croatia previously, we expected a lot more than we got. We came from Rovinj and this place could not be more different. When reaching the reception area in our taxi I was horrified by the whole appearance of the area, a tacky fun fair, loud beach bars and so many people everywhere with not a mask in sight and no social distancing. We checked in and they took our passports and they kindly let us leave our cases behind reception for a couple of hours as our mobile home was not quite ready yet, so we went for a walk desperately trying to find something positive about the area. When returning to reception they could not find our passports, after a phone call and some looking they were, thankfully located, very careless as not very professional of them! There is no resort transport to help you to your mobile home so off we went dragging cases and bags through the campsite in 32 degree heat and the mobile homes are located at the far end of the first peninsula along a dirt track. We had paid extra to stay in a sea view mobile and we was in the front row, however we had the dusty main road through the campsite In front of us and the car wash to the right, but we could see the sea so it was ok. This campsite is very overcrowded every pitch is occupied and they do seem to prioritise the campers rather than mobile home guests. After a few days our sea view slowly disappeared by more and more caravans and campers arriving, one of which was in a very dangerous place, right next to the road and where other cars, camper vans, jet skis and boats manoeuvred into the car wash, I’m very surprised there was not an accident, we did complain to Arena staff but we was basically ignored. There is a sandy beach but absolutely packed full of people with loud music playing all day long, We do like music but don’t really want to be listening to a baseline all day long when you’re relaxing with family. You hear the music at night as well and if you pass by there’s drunk teenagers not much older than my 14 year old, falling about all over the place in them. The rocks near our mobile home was great to swim from and probably the only thing we actually liked about the place. Overall we felt is was an unfriendly, manic place where the mobile homes are very old and grubby, the area is dark it stands all under trees on very dry dusty ground and no green grass. For holidaymakers who are looking for cheap drink, loud music a lot of tacky hustle and bustle nearby, it would be worth a try. If you’re a family looking for relaxation then I would avoid and book into Camping Kazela - I wish we had!

Wir fanden den Campingplatz grundsätzlich gut, würden aber wegen diverser Kleinigkeiten demnächst einen anderen Platz wählen. Hier einige gute und störende Kleinigkeiten: -In der Hauptreisezeit kann man den Platz nur schlecht verlassen, da einen außerhalb oft ein Verkehrschaos erwartet. Da wir gerne die Gegend erkunden war der Stau für uns sehr störend. -Der angepriesene tolle Sandstrand war für Leute die echte Sandstrände kennen ein Witz. -Fast ausschließlich Felsenstrand mit Seeigeln, auf jedenfall dickere Wasserschuhe mitnehmen. -Wir waren in einem Bungalow, der war schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen aber zumindest sauber. + Der Supermarkt war gut sortiert und nicht viel teurer als im Ort. + Da schön auf einer Halbinsel gelegen ist man nie weit vom Meer entfernt. + Der Felsenstrand kann man toll schnorcheln. + Der gesamte Platz liegt schön im Wald, ist noch naturbelassen und viele Bäume spenden Schatten.
