Really lovely place to spend time as a couple, we were here for 10 nights after a 3/4 day stay in Dubai for our Honeymoon. Had a slight hiccup when we arrived as the sea view privilege room we had booked didn't really have a sea view. 218 should really be listed as a partial sea view as just has masses of palm trees pretty much block any sea view you might have had. We mentioned this to the hotel and they looked at what they could do. Happy to provide another room with a sea view on the same floor so we could not ask more than this, and they were very accommodating to sort this all out for us. They have the main buffet restaurant where they have breakfast lunch and dinner, with a range of different options, especially in the evening when they had different food nights. They also have the Saindt. Geran restaurant down near the beach which is more table service and does lunch and dinner, which has excellent food (I would recommend the Seafood Platter, which is not included within the privilege package but worth the extra as very tasty). Staff are really friendly and eager to help and make sure you are happy, from the Reception Staff, to the Waiters, Bar Staff and Cleaners; all are happy to say hello and make sure you are having a great time. The saying we picked up here is 'NO STRESS' and they certainly aim to make this a reality. My biggest issue (and the reason I gave a 4 out of 5) is the smoking. I suffer with Asthma and of late this had been particularly bad. The hotel does not have smoking inside but also does not have a designated smoking areas. I understand that smoking in other countries does not perhaps have the same level of restrictions as we do have now in the UK, but we found a lot of other nationalities either smoking/vaping around the pool loungers and not being challenged; would not take much to designate the public areas around the pool etc. as a no smoking/vaping area and enforce this. Also, people tend to sit/stand and smoke just outside the doors to the bar (which is an external covered area) and again, with the amount of large opening bi-fold doors between the two areas, and the narrow depth of the bar, you have no chance of escaping the smoke blowing into the bar area. We tried sitting in various spots around the bar and just could not escape the smoke. If you are a person with lung/breathing issues or do not like being around smoke then this may not be the place for you to be honest. We have mentioned this to the hotel when checking out and they have said they would look at a designated smoking area as part of their planned refurbishment, but whether this happens, or is enforced, would have to be seen. When the refurbishment happens, we would hope they look at the sunbeds as some need replacing and a few more added as they are quite sp**** around the main pool area but on the other hand, privacy is maximised because of this. Overall, this boutique hotel is lovely, rustic, relaxing, quiet, romantic and well worth a
