"Overall a bit disappointing. We stayed for 2 nights and paid £685 to include one dinner (actually £74 towards dinner) and entrance to Chatsworth House. So overall about £550 for 2 nights bed and breakfast. It’s a premium price but not a premium experience. Good points: breakfast is good and there are premium choices such as eggs Benedict, Royale etc. as well as a very good full English. The bar is great, good beer and not too pricey. Average points: The room was ok, but the bed was quite soft and you felt like you were going to roll onto the floor if on the edge. It was a double so a bit small. (Would have expected. Queen or King). The minibar only had water or a small bottle of milk for tea and coffee. Bad points: The dinner was average. My local pub has better food and more choice. Starters pretty good to be honest (calamari was good and smoked mackerel pate good enough although the sourdough toast was not toast, just bread.) The beef and ale pie was pretty poor. It was filled mostly with gravy and hardly any beef. It was also too salty and the crust not crispy. They tried to charge us for drinks we didn’t have when checking out. Probably an honest mistake and the drinks were taken off the bill but demonstrates some disorganisation. It’s a shame because with a bit of work it could be really good. It’s a great location and lovely inn."

"A wonderful, quiet location with plenty of free parking and an extremely warm welcome,The hotel could do with a little tender care, as parts of it were disintegrating and in poor repair. The window frames, which are unfortunately rotting away, along with slipped, broken roof tiles due to lack of maintenance. We were a little disappointed that we could not order our tasty evening Indian meal from the on-site restaurant to eat in our room after a long day out and about, and instead had to eat in the poorly lit restaurant, so much so that I could not read the menu with the tiny writing and poor design colors. I would not stay again, as what was described as a standard double room on the second floor was in a converted half-eve loft with no view out of the roof windows. The ensuite was adequate, with a good shower; towels, soap and body wash were included, though only one pair of slippers. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, which, in my opinion, was too expensive for what it is."

"Uma excelente estadia curta no B&B situa-se acima de um quarto de chá na aldeia de Bonsall. A entrada é UMA Pequena janela de 2 horas entre as 14h e as 14h, MAS Pode ser organizada para a entrada tardia se estiver presa.É Melhor evitar a área Ao Longo Das Altitudes de Abraão quando se viaja no fim-de-semana, porque está muito ocupado. O proprietário acolheu-nos e assegurou-nos que fizemos o trabalho e que o quarto de chá estava aberto para nos permitirmos amostrar as bolachas deliciosas antes de desencontrarmos. Fomos ao Kings Head pub para jantar, um 3-minute andar para cima Da colina, e tenho que dizer que é UMA boa escolha.Outro Lugar com Grande hospitalidade, UMA combinação de locais e visitantes, MAS Mais importante é UMA boa gruba honesta. O pequeno-almoço era provavelmente um dos melhores que tivemos em um B&B, era abundante e não houve compromisso sobre a qualidade, perfeito para nos alimentar por outro dia nas colinas. Obrigado por nos ter acolhido e por nos dar um BOM valor para o dinheiro num excelente local para explorar o Parque Nacional do Distrito de Peak."
