Ótima estadia! Escolhemos este hotel pelas avaliações, e certamente valeu a pena. Francesco na recepção, foi muito simpático e nos deu uma recepção calorosa. Ele nos sugeriu jantar no restaurante do hotel, e foi muito bom. Tivemos a oportunidade de jantar 2 noites. O cardápio muda todas as noites, e eles usam apenas ingredientes frescos. Chef Domenico sempre muito atencioso, explicou os pratos, e faz ótimas refeições. O Hotel foi reformado, e o quarto é espaçoso, confortável e bem cuidado. Sem esquecer de relatar que o hotel tem vagas cobertas e espaçosas. Agradecimentos especiais a Francesco, Domenico e sua esposa Giovana.

By far the nicest hotel staff I have ever found. Fluent in Spanish and English. Super dog friendly, any dog size. Welcome dig pack includes 😍😍😍Just 1,5 Km from sassi and close to food stores, shops and restaurants (also a pharmacy very close to the hotel). Excellent breakfast including local food and spectacilar vegan options. Bikes can also be rented. Large and comfortable rooms (we were two adults and two dogs and we had plenty of space)

We discovered this hotel quite by chance, as we had no plans to stay in Matera. But, when an unexpected accident left my wife with a broken foot, we needed a place with easy access for short-term recovery while we revised our travel plans. Hotel Nazionale was the answer to our prayers. Under normal circumstances, one would appreciate its convenient location for sightseeing, great breakfast, the parking garage, room comfort, elevator, wifi, value for the price. On top of all that, we appreciated the conveniences we needed: breakfast delivered to the room, access to pharmacy, and the kindness and compassion of the staff, especially Francesco, who was exceptionally gracious and attentive, and always ensured that we had ice for my wife’s injury. When we return to Matera we will definitely stay at Hotel Nazionale.

When we checked in we were given an upgraded room. The hotel is very modern. The room spacious and well equipped. Bathroom very clean and good facilities. Francesco on Reception was very helpful, he spoke english and advised us on restaurants, etc. Car parking is available under the hotel for 12 euro a night but it is a very secure car park. The hotel is 25 minutes walk to the main square or there is taxis or buses or you can take your car and use a car park closer to the centre. Restaurant was only open for breakfast which was quite good with a reasonable choice. It would have been nice if it had been open for dinner as at times sightseeing can tire you out. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed at Hotel Nazionale-Matera while visiting family for 9 nights with my son. My wife recommended this hotel based on her stay a few weeks earlier when she visited Matera with friends. She knows how fussy I can be, so she knows if I didn't like it, she would be hearing about it for quite awhile. The hotel is in a great location, modern, and safe. The room was sleek, clean, and housekeeping came every day. The beds were comfortable and extra blankets and pillows were available. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options-eggs, sausages, rolls, toast, pastries (lots of delicious pastries), fruit, juice, coffee, etc. I looked forward to going there each morning. The hotel staff was professional, friendly and very accommodating. We had to leave very early on our last day to catch an early flight and they arranged for a bagged breakfast for us. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar and sitting on the patio was an extra plus. After 9 nights you'd think I would have at least one negative take away, but I don't.

We arrived late in the evening, the gentleman at the reception was super accommodating. All the staff in this hotel are fabulous, pleasant, professional and super accommodating. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and the bed is comfortable. The pups had a bed, treat, toy, and water and food bowls waiting. We had dressing gowns and slippers waiting along with a full mini bar. It made for a fabulous stay in this beautiful city in Italy.

The hotel staff is friendly and it’s very calm inside. When we walked into our room they had kept a dog bed and few dog treats and a toy for our dogs which was super nice of them. Also, the hotel is not very far from centre ville and nice shops around.
