Livingstone B&B

Despite its very high rating, as well as the numerous positive comments about owner/hostess Miriam, our stay at Livingstone B&B in Matera greatly exceeded my wife's & my expectations during our two night stay in June 2024. There are three individual guest rooms (we saw all three, and each one is massive, especially when compared to hotel rooms in Italy) with ensuite bathrooms. Our room, New York (the other two are London and Paris), was on the top floor of the apartment, so we enjoyed privacy and solitude, plus the added bonus of a private balcony area, complete with a sun lounger. Livingstone is bright, modern, and impeccably clean. Miriam obviously takes great pride in Livingstone, and is certainly passionate about providing the absolute best experience possible for each and every guest. The photos are 100% accurate, and reflect what you see and experience when staying at Livingstone. Livingstone is conveniently located less than a three minute walk (two right turns, then down the hill) to the town square, where you'll enjoy magnificent views down to the Old Town historic area of Matera. If ever my wife & I return to Matera, we will absolutely definitely stay at Livingstone again.

Livingstone was a great find for our Matera lodging. It's set in the old town, literally 3 min walk from the main square and entrance to Sassi. Room was enough spacious with one double and one single bed which suited three of us. Apartment is modern, specially the bathroom. Our apartment also had a very big terrace with seating sofa, sunbed and a table where we had our dinner. The owner Miriam served a hearty breakfast with freshly prepared omellete, sweet pastries, etc... There're two parking garages in vicinity. Considering the quality/price/location we found it just perfect for exploring Matera.

Livingstone is a great place to stay in Matera. only a few steps from the sasi but with the advantadge of being able to arrive with your car!! Parking is 200 mt away, 15 euros per day. The rooms are big and clean. Everything is very nice at this place. You won´t get the feeling of sleeping inside the rock, for the rest, perfect place to stay.

Livingston é stato il luogo perfetto per soggiornare a Matera. É ubicato in una posizione strategica per visitare la città, la nostra stanza era ampia, luminosa e pulitissima. L'ambiente comune é cosi accogliente che sembra di stare a casa. La colazione offre prelibatezze per tutti i palati. Ultimo, ma non per ultimo, Miriam é un oste meraviglioso, puntualissima nel rispondere, disponibile e ci ha regalato ottimi consigli per vivere al meglio la splendida Matera. Consigliatissimo!!!!!

B&B di recentissima realizzazione, camere arredate con gusto, pulizia maniacale, colazione ricca di dolce e salato. Ubicazione eccezionale, in 4 minuti sei nel centro storico. Miriam accoglie i suoi ospiti on maniera calorosa e cordiale. Una perfetta padrona di casa. Brava! . Se avrò occasione di tornare a Matera, sarò sicuramente ospite di questa bellissima struttura.

Weekend lungo di marzo. Scelta ricaduta su Matera. Dopo qualche ricerca e i giudizi su TA ho prenotato in questo B&B. Direi scelta super. Una bomboniera con solo 3 camere. La ns. London spaziosa e con un bel terrazzo. Bagno adeguato. Camera con tutto l'occorrente per uno splendido soggiorno. Miriam persona cordiale, carina, disponibile e attenta al cliente, un'ottima padrona di casa. Pulizia perfetta. Struttura comoda per visitare Matera vicino alla piazza principale della città. Colazione ottima sia in quantità che qualità. Straconsigliato!
