Territory Manor Motel & Caravan Park

I stayed there on a motorbike holiday. The Accommodation was comfortable, the food great and $5 standard price for a schooner! Their own beer,and I'm not a craft beer person but this stuff was great! Friendly staff too! I thought it was a great place for the night after a day on the road.

Really enjoyed our stay at Mataranka Manor. It was extremely hot but you can’t blame anyone for that. (Although some would try🙄) Manages Michael and Charlene were very friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent both in size, quality and cost as are happy hour drinks. we loved the peacocks roaming everywhere even if they do poo here and there. No security issues but like at all locations common sense (?) prevails..Access to the excellent bakery in town and both bitter and Mataranka Springs is all within 10 minutes drive. Loved Nathan Griggs Whip show 5 minutes down the road (he goes on tour next week so not around Mataranka for a few months) . Would recommend staying here to our friends.

Theft is rampant and the owners refuse to warn you as they believe rightly that no one would stay. Hat trousers shirt, anything and everything. Run rabbit run Food is all frozen , shower falling apart, big bird poo all over the place, you can’t even get into the office without getting your shoes soiled, table outside cabin had a monumental poo on it! And the place os not cheap.

I liked the fact the room had the air conditioning on when we arrived and was pleasantly cool. It was a good split system and there was also an overhead fan running. The room was nicely presented with a natural colour scheme, natural woods such as wooden exposed beam ceilings, tiled floors and an interesting use of corrugated iron on the wall behind the bed. The bed had pretty decorated pillows with a blanket and two pillows. There were two bedside tables, one bedside lamp and a double power point for charging on one side of bed. It had good luggage storage, a full length mirror but no hanging space. There was a table with two chairs, another small round table, a smallish TV with some sort of set top box ( I didn’t bother to work that out). The shower had a wrap around shower curtain and a good size sink. Towels and toiletries (2 x conditioning shampoo, 2 x soaps) supplied. There was coffee / tea making facilities - kettle, biscuits, coffee, sugar, tea bags, small milk, two cold glasses in the mini-fridge and two cups. In addition there were two plates, cutlery, tea towel, dishwashing sachets and scourer for use in the outdoor camp kitchen which had a microwave. There was also a communal laundry with pay machines. You could sit outside your room at a small table and two chairs but we enjoyed the outdoor seating near the bar and restaurant. The grounds were spacious and there was a pool. The food at the bar and restaurant was excellent! We had a coffee and spring rolls as a snack - very nice - and it was very pleasant to sit at the outside tables in the afternoon. Unfortunately we missed the music that runs Wed-Sun, especially as fellow travellers gave good reports. The motel is off the main Stuart Highway so there is no road noise and is just a short drive to Bitter Springs and into Mataranka township which doesn’t have much except some small supermarkets. All rooms are ground level with the car parked immediately out front. No wifi and the poor reception for Optus was made worse when we were there by a complete outage in Mataranka. I liked the NT life booklet in the room and there were NT maps available in the office. The office has limited hours and doesn’t offer early checkins.

Overall site was a bit scruffy and needed an overall clean. The highlight however was the pizza even though the restaurant area was based on plastic furniture which was dusty. Reception area was very basic though the young man who greeted us was friendly. Dead pot plants are not appealing- either move or replace them

A very good experience. The rooms are tidy, comfortable, very well presented and the check in service very efficient. The setting is beautiful with numerous peacocks and wildlife amongst the beautiful trees. The meals are also very good, again good service on offer.

Manager/Owner refused to serve us as we were staying down the road in another caravan park. He was rude and obnoxious. Not sure what business plan he runs but we were prepared to purchase drinks as we had been there before. Horrible place now. Would not recommend staying here. Better options down the road. I know my wife and I will never be back or recommend to friends.

Don’t stay here if you are in an unpowered site with tent/swag. Only a few toilets and showers available and they are individual rooms so a shower and toilet in each one. Not enough for the amount of people staying, long wait if you need a toilet when people are showering, lukewarm water. Sites are a long walk from facilities/amenities, which is terrible as we rely on these, they are necessities not just for comfort. No wifi and phone internet almost non-existent, vehicles driving around raising dust. There seemed to be a nice looking pub on site with live music, staff were nice but avoid this park and find one with a better set up for campers.

This seemed to be the only caravan park in town where we could book in advance, which we wanted to do after a long drive. It is just outside the town and well-appointed. Staff were very friendly. There is a restaurant and bar open in the evenings, and when we were there a c & w band which was great. Facilities are very good, and each cubicle has a WC and shower. Good laundry with dryers.
