Absolutely loved this place. Peaceful and beautiful and all of the staff and yoga teachers were top class with excellent yoga facilities . Felt like home from home. And the most stunning beach. Lovely spa and very good buffet style food. Hope to return one day.

Disappointing. Such a beautiful property and so much potential, but there is no soul to it. This place really needs to decide what it wants to be: a yoga retreat, a surf camp, or just a simple holiday resort. It markets itself as a yoga resort but yet there is very little yoga. Charging guests 15USD per drop in very off putting as there were only a couple of people in the classes at any time. When I was there there was a group of boozy Brits hogging the pool all day. Not what I was expecting at all...

We‘re coming here since many years because this retreat-place is outstanding and excellent in every detail. All the stuff is maximum helpful and friendly and always there to make your stay pleasant, easy and unforgettable. Just paradise

Beautiful location pool and beach. Friendly staff. Food good but often curries were cold. Massages were excellent. Billed as a retreat, for our stay sadly there were far too many noisy euro youths monopolising the pool playing vigorous ball games. Looks to me as if it could do with some better management!

Since some of the accommodations have open walls, you almost spend the night in the jungle. shower under the stars. Jungle sounds at night, watching interesting animals like monkeys and monitor lizards, in a beautiful bay with a wonderful sandy beach, but a bit remote from the tourist centers so you can enjoy peace and quiet. very nice decor, great food. super great yoga classes!!

We spent 6 days over Christmas here with 2kids (6 & 9). It couldn’t have been more perfect… pool isn’t too deep so wasn’t a worry them playing in it. The ‘compound’ is safe so when they made friends we felt comfortable with them roaming around. Rooms are great but wish we’d got two for the 4 of us, and with family I’d probably opt for one around the pool so you can happily watch the kids play while you have some peace and quiet. Kids aside…. Staff and spa and food is excellent. Tuk tuks outside to take you to surf/ whale/ turtle beaches and multitude of restaurants. We visited traditional restaurants and modern places with lots of concrete that felt a bit like Ibiza. Both great. Best thing about Talalla is that the beach is totally under-developed. It’s beautiful. Local kids were playing cricket rather than hoards of tourists and noisy bars… that’s the thing that made it really special. Nice piece of tranquility, then with everything else not far away if you do want that. Genius! 100% going back!

The resort looks nice and is by the beach with pool. Lot of young people and tours visit getting two meals a day and extras for more money, bar available Well being for those with money to spend and not stalked by a cyber bully. My experience was where everyday I became increasingly aware my privacy was a joke. Staff mocked when they thought I was out of earshot. Fellow tourists told me things I knew came from a stalker. Men are suspects all too easily. My mental health improved on leaving this resort but not during my stay.

Just had a week at Talalla Retreat on the south coast of SL. It was the best place and highly recommend it. On the beach surrounded by beautiful gardens. But the best thing is the food. Run by Australians it has some of the best food I have had in a long while. Therefore, be sure to get Full Board and eat every meal there. It won't be for everyone as most of the rooms are non-air-con, with open showers - Balinese style. I think the term is barefoot luxury. It also has yoga and surf school if that floats your boat.

We were staying in the area working for a dog charity and asked if we could pay to use the pool. The staff were amazing so friendly and kind. The pool was just lush, we ended up eating here a few times! We had the BBQ which was just stunning. We also had treatments in the spa which were so lovely. Can not recommend highly enough.
