Riad Charaï

The Riad was an amazing experience. Right in the centre of Medina but so calm and Serene. Our room and bathroom was spacious and very well decorated. Really gorgeous. We loved the breakfast area . So warm . The coulours , the fire place . And the best local bread. The personnel very helpful . I strongly recommend the staying .

The Riad is such a nice place. It provides such a safe environment, escaping from the suburban area surrounding it. The Staff is super friendly, and the guy that works in the morning in the reception is the nicest guy ever. He arranged us taxis, private drivers, gave us a map and explained us everything we needed to know to get to know our way around the city. If you’re looking for a friendly, safe space with good food and good staff this is a must go :)

Top notch Riad experience. Loved every minute. I always love the surprise of stepping from the dusty ancient streets of the Medina into the quiet, cool courtyard settings of the Riad’s we have stayed in before. Riad Charai will not disappoint, the accommodation, staff and location were perfect.

Beautiful hotel. Only 4 sun lounges by the pool so I can’t imagine how it would be during busy periods but for us it was lovely and empty. It had a pool and had a lovely Moroccan decor. The workers were lovely and very helpful. When you arrive they give you a full breakdown of the area. As far as the area goes Marrakech wasn’t our favourite. There’s a few scammers that will lie and say you you can’t go down some streets because of prayer, just don’t ever stop and talk to people or follow people. If they start walking with you just walk away saying no. There’s an app called maps me that work without internet that is good to use but I also used google. It’s more touristy than some other places in Morocco so I felt a lot more comfortable wearing what I wanted there compared to places like Rabat wheres there’s less tourist. Rabat is better because there’s less scams, beach’s, cleaner streets and much easier navigation. But as far as the hotel goes it was lovely.

If you like a beverage it’s not for you. I was taken for my Birthday, and was expecting a glass of wine or 2 as it stated on the website that wine and Champagne was available, but this wasn’t the case, Imrahan who worked there kindly booked a Taxi and escorted us to the nearest Supermarket, about 10 minutes away. We stocked up with goodies and returned to the Riad. You can order lunch and dinner in advance which is very tasty especially the Lamb Tagine, and the Chicken kebabs.

We could not believe how lovely this Riad was, having visited Marrakech many times. All elements were superb, the bedroom, bed and lovely pool and seating areas are a credit to the owner and wonderful staff. Ibrahim, Frederick, Sofiane, Hein. Thank you and already looking forward to our next visit.
