Palais Amador

The best experience ever. Zak and his mother Maria looked after us all so well, nothing was too much trouble. A real find and will definitely return. Wonderful rooms which has everything you need, fabulous sheets, hairdryers etc etc. Delicious food, nothing you wouldn't want. We were there during the terrible earthquake and they were amazing. I am sure that they had so much on their minds as their country was destroyed but they looked after us so well. A wonderful holiday but mixed emotions obviously.

Rien n est impossible, toujours la pour nous et nue cuisine +++++. Félicitations vous êtes tout simplement géniaux. On va très vite y revenir. Vous avez fait de nos vacances un rêve. Vous méritez tout le bien qu on lit de vous dans les appréciations. Ne changez rien. Nous avions loué une voiture et c est un plus (30 minutes de Marrakech) C est un havre de paix qui se suffit à lui même (jardin piscine ...) Tout est dans le détail, pas un seul endroit n a pas été pensé et décoré. J ai envie de ne pas trop faire connaître l endroit et garder jalousement cet endroit mais je n ai pas le droit tellement Azeddine Maria et zacharia meritent de travailler. Comment vous remercier de tout ce que vous avez fait pour nous ? En revenant très vite vous revoir pour au moins 15 jours MERCI

Great owners and staff Very clean Fantastic gardens Great pool Comfy and abundant sun loungers Amazing food Beautiful rooms Peaceful TV lounge for the ‘big match’ Great hairdryer (powerful & long lead) *a wife edit 30 min ride to Marrakech …did I mention, great owners and staff! It might not be for you if…. You like a ‘buzz’ about a place. Need lots going on. You prefer to be able to walk around a village/resort (without involving transport) Need organised daily activities (competitions/quizzes/bingo) Like a bar/pool bar scene OK so we all have different expectations from a holiday and I can certainly see why this wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of mint tea. But for us, particularly following events of the last two years it’s been absolutely perfect. This break has suffered 3 cancellations due to Covid, throughout which the owners (Azeddine, Maria and Zac) have been very supportive and understanding. One of the cancellations was of our own doing as we feared that Morocco may go on the UK red list whilst we were due to be there(it didn’t). Regular email contact with Zac assured us that nothing was a problem and whenever we felt comfortable to come our reservation would still stand. It’s just a 30 minute journey from the airport (transfer organised by Zac). A warm welcome with freshly squeezed orange juice (from the gardens). We were in room 7 (Fantasia Suite). Huge bed, seating area, shower room and 2 balcony/terraces. One with sun loungers and one with a couple of chairs and table. With things as they are, specifically the Covid restrictions, the Riad is sadly way under capacity as yet. In the week we stayed (1st week in May) the busiest it got was 3 rooms occupied. Many days we had the whole place to ourselves, with the fantastic pool and the equally fantastic Hamza tending to our every need. There were times when we felt a little guilty that all of this was just for us, but Zac and Maria couldn’t have put us more at ease. Zac speaks excellent English and Maria has enough, with the help of hand signals and facial expressions to help us understand. Azeddine also only has limited English but the international language of football aided our chats with him :). He showed us his roll of honour photos with famous football figures from when he managed at a top hotel in Marrakech. His favourite being the one with Zidane. The wife’s favourite being Robert Pires 🙄 I should add that they all spoke many languages fluently (Spanish, French, Arabic), much to our shame. Breakfast is either served on the terrace outside the new dining room building, or within in it. It’s your choice. Same goes for evening meal. One night I was even offered for it to be served in the TV lounge so I could watch the match 😀. Whilst breakfast is based around the same core elements (tea, coffee, bread, spreads, pancakes and yogurts), each day had something a little different about it. A fruit salad, fruit juice etc… Days by the pool. A dedicated sun lounge

This place is wonderful and gives a great retreat from the city. Best for those who want to lounge and enjoy peace. Great family run business

We loved staying here so much that we extended our stay. It is an absolute oasis. The property is so beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The landscaping was outstanding. The accommodation is about the best we have stayed. It is a very new B&B. The family who owns this have built a beautiful property and they go over board in making sure that all our needs were met. Our room was very large, beautifully decorated with awesome views out the windows/doors which opened up onto our balcony. The food was ample and delicious. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and fitness room. We didn’t want leave. We hope that our journeys will bring us close by to stay here again.

A wonderfully relaxing and quiet stay. If you are looking for bustle do not book here and stay in the medina. Maria and family run a magnifcent small hotel set in a green oasis offering an excellent pool and spa area. Rooms and restaurant were first class given this is a family managed property not an international chain. Spacious and very comfortable; ingredients were fresh from the garden. A family emergency meant I had to leave unexpectedly but my remaining family member was quite frankly in the best possible hands and was taken care of right to the boarding of the plane. What a service. I have no hesitation in saying this was superb.

It was a pleasure staying at Palace Amador! Maria and her family provided us with the highest quality experience during our first trip to morocco. Waking up to freshly squeezed orange juice every morning while chatting with maria made our stay very relaxing. I would highly recommend this place for those looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in morrocco. The rooms are unique, rooms extremely clean and the service was personalized to make us feel welcomed. Where do I even begin? Palais Amador is simply the most incredible and wonderful experience my partner and I have had in traveling for the last 10 years together. The staff ( especially Zac and Maria) are the most gracious, charming and incredible hosts I could ever have imagined. Initially we booked for a 4 day stay because it was Ramadan and I was a bit fatigued after traveling nearly four months. We ended staying for over 3 weeks. To call it an oasis in a fairly crazy world is an understatement, it’s more akin to that moment of finding Shangri-LA as an “ahh-ha “ moment. Set in a grove of olive trees, with a perfectly manicured estate, we spent our days eating fabulous home made Moroccan food, watching red dragonflies , turtles and swimming in a nearly perfectly idyllic swimming pool. I had hesitated to write this review simply out of selfishness, since when I go back I want to make certain it’s not fully booked. One note: although day trips in and around Marrakech are certainly easily available, it is a solid 30 min drive. Amador is a calm in the storm more so then walking out your door into the controlled chaos that is Marrakech.
