Second time staying at Fort Road and we absolutely loved it. Great staff, beautiful hotel, stylish rooms, art on the walls. Would highely recommend this amazing hotel to anybody visiting Margate. Also has a nice bar downstairs that we visited for a drink.

The staff here are peerless . We were warmly welcomed and given the directions to our room without fuss or superfluous information . The room was warm and tastefully (and presumably expensively) appointed if a tad anonymous . The bathroom was a hit with me and the addition of gratis home made biscuits to accompany our tea was a thoughtful bonus . Breakfast was lovely and my soft butter and home made jam for the toast was another lovely touch to empathise just how much thought has gone into this little gem of a hotel . I could not recommend this place enough and we will return when next we find ourselves in Margate .

The Fort Road Hotel decor is divine everywhere you look. Room- We stayed in no.7 room which was on the second floor. The Lift is super slow but you can take the stairs. The room was a decent size for two people. The decor is lux and the detailing of fixtures and fittings were lovely. The furniture was gorgeous The bedding feels nice, although the mattress is very soft. This room is listed as a sea view but the view is limited because of the gallery in front of the hotel. Having said that, the light that comes through the window is exquisite. The bathroom screamed high end but sadly was let down by the dirty grout and mould in the shower. On our second night staying here there was a hideous egg odour and smelt so bad and was quite sickening. The location was awesome, super close to the Turner Gallery, the crab museum, the market, and so many lovely restaurants. Margate seems to be coming up but there is still a long way to go. There is no parking on site but we managed to get s parking space around for free. Definitely one of the better hotels in the area.

Amazing hotel, location couldn’t be better and the staff were so friendly and amenable. Also love the design of the place, and the little touches to make it feel like home, books in the rooms, cookies on arrival. Would definitely come back!!

The friendliest hotel we've stayed in. Really lovely staff. Great location on the edge of the old town and directly behind the new Turner museum. Great views from the room and rooftop space. Huge, comfy beds. Good food in the restaurant. All round nice vibe.

What an absolute beauty of a hotel! We had a lovely stay! The room was clean, aesthetically pleasing, lovely product in the bathroom, great tea/coffee facilities even a little coffee cafetière and 2 homemade cookies to enjoy! Lovely soft bedding, was like sleeping in clouds.

A fabulous small hotel in Margate, perfect for a weekend’s stay. Location excellent - within easy walking distance of everywhere you might want to go but not right in the noisy centre of things. Main road did cause some noise but we had the fan on and that easily covered it. We loved the vibes of the place, the service and decor. Restaurant food was wonderful. Small issues were the noise from other rooms (doors slamming and lots of thumping around - I tried to shut the door that sat across our room and the room next door in case this improved the noise leakage but it was fixed in place unfortunately) and the shower curtain not adequately stopping the water from covering the whole bathroom floor! Other people have complained about parking - we thought the parking at Trinity Square was perfectly fine, very close on foot and not expensive. Overall, would recommend.

Came to the hotel for a wedding celebration, enjoyed the most wonderful lunch for over 30 of us, followed by a great party in the basement and bar afterwards for about 60 of us. The food, drinks and venue was nothing short of superb and the staff were absolutely brilliant. We had the best time ever, and I don't really want everyone to catch on, as it might get too busy there! We will be back for the restarant, try out the rooms next time too. It is a gem.

I loved this hotel. My room had an amazing view of the sea. The room was huge and airy, very clean and the bathroom was clean and so big. There was a fresh cookie and tea/cofee facilities in the room. The staff were so lovely and friendly. I was in Margate for the Manic Street Preacher/Suede concert and was limited on time so i didn't try the food or the bar but i will next time! I will be back!
