Marriott's Crystal Shores

We were at Crystal Shores for only 3 days but plan to return for a longer stay. The point value for owners is a little more for a stay here but it’s well worth it. The property itself is beautiful, updated and spotlessly immaculate. The villas have large lanais with lots of comfortable furniture to relax and enjoy the view. Two of pools have lovely ocean views and there’s hot tubs and all the Marriott usual amenities. The staff is helpful and attentive; check-in was very efficient! The beach is steps from the property and has countless activities available for families. Marco Island is full of great restaurants and shopping. (Naples is nearby too.) We will return here- highly recommend this MVC.

This place use to be nice and clean. Our room wasn’t ready at 4pm for check in. We stayed on the beach. Came to room around 8-9pm after sunset. And when kids went to Shower the shower would not drain. It would feel up with cloudy water. We called and some took an hour to come and when they come they couldn’t even fix it. They poured acid into it and still would not drain. Water was up to your ankles. This is how you get bacteria on your feet. Management was rude and didn’t care about the issue. We asked if we can have a 1 hour later check out and they said no. It took them 2 hours of trying to fix it and kids couldn’t shower right away to go to sleep and we can’t get 1 hour later check out. Management here would have made sure we were happy. We would not be staying here going forward. We have been bonvoy members for 10 years and this is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place going forward!

What a wonderful resort! We loved the accomodations and the location. It is close to alot of restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back. They went above and beyond with keeping us happy. It was 97% full but were able to accomodate all our needs. Rooms are updated and facility is beautiful!

Got back last night from a 5 night stay with family at Crystal Shores. First time here and we loved it. Enough activities to keep the kids happy. Pools are heated to a perfect temp. The beach is beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Resort was well kept. Great location also. We stayed in a 2 br with a gulf view. The unit was very tastefully decorated in a modern style. Kitchen was great, clean and well equipped. The balcony!!! Amazing huge balcony off the living area with table chairs and 2 lounges. We were on the 6th floor of the Osprey Tower. The bedroom with 2 queens is definitely tight, but manageable. Master is a decent size with great bathroom, 2 sinks and wonderful shower. No tub in master, and also its own balcony, just smaller than the main balcony. The towel situation worked out well. We called daily to exchange towels. Left dirty ones outside the door and they were replaced with clean ones in a bag. The elevator situation… we were informed ahead of time about the servicing of the elevators. They allowed used of the staff elevator as an alternative, which worked well for us. Also the grotto pool and slide were only available on one day of our stay… again, we were informed of that ahead of time. Pool chairs were plentiful in early to mid morning but around noon time, there was no chairs available. Again, not unusual for resorts like this. The food and drink we got on property was very good. However if you need something from the market place… good luck with that. It’s basically non existent. Ive stayed in a lot of marriott time shares. Never encountered a marketplace like this. No coffee, and very little to choose from. Maybe they determined there is not much need here for it. And there is also a 7-11 across the street. But if you’re looking for the convenience of an onsite marketplace, you will not find it here.

Difficult to judge accurately since elevators were out quite often! We were on the 12th floor and too high use the stairways. The staff elevators were usually being used by service personnel, either maids or other service people. Very inconvenient.

Stayed with a group of 7 and overall had a great vacation. Food could have been better (not just at the resort but Marco Island in general). The views from Poolside High Floor and Gulfview were better than expected. For Gulfview, just don't look down when you step onto the porch. We had to change rooms during the stay and Marriott made it as seamless as possible (you are allowed to stay in the villa until the new villa is ready). The compact layout of the resort was much appreciated, which meant you were steps from the beach no matter where you room was. Parking is underground and was key for our summer stay. The room key always worked at the parking gate, which is not always the case at other hotel properties I have stayed at. Hotel staff is always friendly and helpful with proving luggage carts, extra towels or other villa needs. The beach was amazing. The water is calm and only wavy when it is windy. The huge sand bar is a short distance from shore. We had a great time hanging out on the sand bar. We decided it was the best beach compared to some that we've been to including Bahamas and Puerto Rico for just lounging in the ocean. The villa was more than adequate for our group. The porch is huge which was great for enjoying the sunset views. The poolside villa had a desk in the master bedroom. This came in handy when I had to take some work calls. The kitchen and washer/dryer is a huge bonus. I loved going home with clean clothes. The only criticism is the food and internet/mobile internet service. Internet is terrible at night and mornings when families are not at the beach. Pizza is nothing special. Stilts menu could use a few more options. We also participated in an everglades tour and charted a boat for backwater fishing. Both were great. We are already planning to come back next year!

The staff was very responsive to a few maintenance issues we had,but the repairmen were excellent. The location of this resort is just perfect,almost at the end of a very busy hotel row. We all enjoyed the pools and beach. Three of us are disabled and we’re still able to enjoy the gulf as the sand entrance has a gentle slope and the gulf is so calm. Can’t tell you how much we enjoyed this visit.

Excellent views and very attentive staff. Our two bedroom villa was very clean and easily accessed. The second bedroom with two queen beds is very congested, though. hardly any space to unpack or even access their closet. Perhaps a sofa-sleeper and one queen bed would be a better use of space. Also, their bathroom is through a short hallway, affording guests in that second bedroom no privacy. The balcony is expansive and great, though, with nice chaise lounges and table. Few amenities compared to some of the other Marriott timeshares. Also, no tidy service even staying ten days.

Family girls trip! We were excited to experience this location. The beach is amazing. You can pay for water sports and umbrellas and chairs from a company down at the beach- those guys the best. The restaurants on the property are nice and the service is great. The front desk staffers were cranky but all other staff member were super helpful and very friendly. Our two bedroom was beautiful and spacious with a nice view. We unfortunately experienced a few reasons to believe that our room was not cleaned well and some appliances did not work properly. The property was huge and kind of like a maze so be aware if you are traveling with disabled or elderly. Also one of the elevators was out of service. Otherwise we had a nice stay and love the Island and even ventured to Naples which was not too far away.
