We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at this amazing homestay in the laid-back village of Marari. From the outset, Allwyn and Jency were perfect hosts and made us feel welcomed and “at home.” We stayed in their Tamarind Villa, which was stunning. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed “cooling off” in our private plunge pool and relaxing in the outdoor seating area. Jency and her staff are amazing cooks and we enjoyed tasty, well-prepared breakfasts and dinners in the communal outside dining area where we could socialise with other guests. Allwyn recommended and arranged several activities for us including an early morning visit to see the fishermen offload and sell their catch, cycling around the local village, an Ayurveda massage at the local clinic, and a bus ride into Alleppey. A long sandy beach is only a short walk away where you can see dolphins if you are lucky! Thank you so much, Allwyn, Jency, and the rest of your amazing team (including dogs and cats!) for making our stay so very enjoyable. We have taken with us many unique and wonderful memories. We would have no hesitation in recommending Marari Dreamz.

What a place to stay! It’s incredibly well maintained, the rooms are cleaned daily and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hosts, Allwyn and Jency are helpful and go out of their way to ensure that your stay is a memorable one. Jency does the cooking and you shouldn’t miss out on this . The food is exceptional. Don’t think twice about booking this place , you won’t regret it.

This place is an absolute gem...a perfect oasis. Allwyn & Jency have created such a lovely relaxing environment and the team are amazing. The Sky room/villa we stayed in was fabulous...a great view over the pool and open shower. Breakfast each morning was delicious, a different treat. We also had dinner in the evening which was amazing. We borrowed bikes and had a lovely potter thru the village, and the Ayurveda centre nearby was so good.

Marari Dreamz is an oasis of calm and lovely hospitality offered by Allwyn and Jency and their family. The food is excellent and home cooked with free cooking demonstrations offered. My wife and I booked a room with private pool which was great after touring in the heat. Free bikes were available which we used for rides around the lovely local area and to the fish market. Allwyn and Jency always on hand to offer advice. We especially enjoyed the Ayurvedic massage and the yoga led by Allwyn himself. Loved it here. Highly recommended. Graham & Tracy

Superb stay in beautiful location. Fabulous hosts who couldn't do enough for you, being so friendly and helpful, making really good suggestions as to what to do in the area . Breakfast and evening meals were really delicious, so much food provided. Villa very well equipped with air conditioning and pool. Close to village and beach. Would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic homestay. Great location and amazing hosts. Food was delicious and after eating out a couple of times we choose to eat dinner there for the remainder of our stay. The villas are really clean and comfortable. Allwyn and Jency are super friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Everything was just fine. We enjoyed the area, the family who welcomed us as we are their friends. Food was great and home-made. Dont hesitate if you come near Allepey to spend some days enjoying beautiful beaches, welcoming people and a perfect place to stay … Thanks Alvi for the yoga lesson and advices ;) and thanks again your family and the people that work there, hope to see you guys again

Well it’s all been said already so I can only reiterate the reviews of others. Lovely villas kept immaculately clean, our own swimming pool was delightful (though the shared pool looked great too). Nothing is too much for Allwyn, Jency and staff, they will help with the free bikes, recommendations on where to go, if you need a tour, massage, transport they will arrange. I do recommend biking, the beach and the morning fish market as well as canoeing in the backwaters (give the houseboat a miss). If even one leaf falls in your pool they will be around to fix. And as many mention the food is great (and very reasonably priced). Can highly recommend, I can see why people stay so long. Mararikulam reminds me of Thailand 30 years ago, still unspoiled.

Allwyn and Jency have created an absolutely perfect holiday escape in Mararikkulam! We had an incredible stay here with our teenage family. The rooms are beautifully presented and there is a lovely balance of privacy and warm hospitality. Allwyn was happy to make suggestions and arrangements for local activities (the Ayurvedic massage was incredible), and nothing was ever too much trouble for any of the team - we felt so well looked after and welcomed as part of the family. Jency’s food was incredible (both breakfast and dinner) and what a treat to watch her cook! We loved walking to the beach, cycling around the lanes but mostly relaxing in the stunning pool and gardens. None of us wanted to leave and we very much plan to return.
