Hotel Weingärtner

Very disappointed with our stay; we looked at their webpage before we booked, sadly our expectations were not met. They deserve a 2 star rating and that would be extremely generous. Firstly they allocated us a room on the 3rd floor, as there was no lift we had to slave our large suitcases up an extremely narrow and steep staircase; not an easy task. The room was not properly cleaned, obviously someone has been eating grapes, the stalks were still on the table and window sill, and stayed there during our stay. The doona cover had been ripped and the pillows and mattress had seen better times, both extremely soft. For €100 per night without breakfast I would also expect more amenities in the room. There was no rubbish bin; only a small one in the bathroom. No phone, no alarm clock, no full length mirror, no box of tissues. There was no folio in the room either, no advice on how to connect to the internet or when breakfast is available or what’s on the menu in the restaurant or what the opening hours are. No tourist information as in places on interest and so on. The TV was placed to the left of the bed, so you could only watch when lying on your side or sitting up facing the TV. One of the chairs in the room was as good as broken, when you sat down one of the back legs gave way. The bathroom was extremely small, to dry yourself off you actually had to step out of the bathroom, the shower had an old fashioned shower curtain. The water turned from hot to cold during your shower and back to hot. They only provided shower gel, no shampoo and they didn’t replace the empty bottle of either. Towels didn’t get replaced during our 5 day stay. Even the one we placed on the floor didn’t get replaced for 2 days. The towels were on the smaller side. The breakfast buffet was very small and the same every day. While the quality was relatively good, there wasn’t really anything exciting, no croissants or pastries on offer, Saturday and Sunday were the same as during the week. There is no on-site parking and street parking is limited to 2 hours. We will not return and can’t really recommend this place to anyone. Based on the above they are certainly overpriced, not worth €100 per night.

Kleines aber feines Boutique-Hotel in angenehm ruhiger Lage. Hatte ein hübsches Zimmer, Matratzen waren sehr bequem und habe bestens geschlafen. Das Frühstück fand ich sehr gut. In der Nähe gibt es eine gute Anbindung an die Straßenbahn nach Mannheim oder Heidelberg, jeweils so ungefähr 15 Minuten Fahrzeit....

Auf den ersten Blick ein wirklich tolles Zimmer , geräumig und sauber . Später fällt auf, wie stickig es ist . Lüften ist unmöglich , das Restaurant ist direkt unter dem Hotel . Die absolute Katastrophe ist eine Kühlung / Lüftung , die sich direkt neben dem Fenster befindet . Einschlafen ist unmöglich , es herrscht ein dauerhaftes , sehr lautes Rauschen . Ich habe die ganze Nacht kein Auge zugemacht . Aber das tatsächliche no- Go ist die Mitarbeiterin der Rezeption . Am nächsten Morgen habe ich ihr mitgeteilt , dass die Kühlung die ganze Nacht lief. Sie bezichtigte mich offen der „ Lüge „ . Extrem unfreundlich , unprofessionell, offensichtlich keinerlei Erfahrung oder Schulung in der Hotellerie Branche. Hotelleitung dagegen ist distanziert , aber agiert professionell. Dennoch nicht zu empfehlen . Ich würde nie wieder dort übernachten wollen.
