During my recent 3-day, 2-night stay at Swiss-Belhotel Blulane in Manila, the overall experience left much to be desired. While the hotel had potential, the importance of providing quality service to guests seemed inconsistent. Firstly, there was a noticeable discrepancy in the service provided by the on-the-job trainees. While some displayed genuine warmth and eagerness to assist, others seemed hesitant, particularly when they perceived that a guest might not offer a tip. This attitude detracted from the overall guest experience and contradicted the essence of hospitality, which should prioritize genuine care and assistance regardless of gratuity. Additionally, the functionality of the elevators was a significant inconvenience. With only one elevator in operation, guests frequently experienced delays and overcrowding, resulting in frustration and inconvenience. This issue significantly impacted the efficiency of guest movement within the hotel and should be addressed promptly to enhance overall satisfaction. In conclusion, while this hotel in Manila has potential, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring consistent and genuine guest service and addressing operational inefficiencies such as elevator functionality. By instilling in all staff members, including trainees, a genuine commitment to hospitality and service excellence, the hotel can elevate the overall guest experience and distinguish itself as a premier destination for travelers.

The environment is beautiful, the location is good, the transportation is convenient, the rooms are comfortable and hygienic, and the service staff are very enthusiastic and willing to provide all kinds of help. The facilities are very user-friendly, the network signal is good, and the scenery outside the window is beautiful. Good value for money, will stay again next time

Location wise, super accessible to restaurants. Near a church and near to nearby tourist spot. The room is bigger than usual. There's a workspace where you can do your work properly. The comfort room is also big which I like since the bathtub is separate from the shower.

The room is clean with basic free amenities such as dental and vanity kits and room slippers. Have to request for a bathroom mat though, because the room doesn't have it when we arrived. It is quiet inside the room even if the hotel is in the middle of busy Chinatown. Hotel have direct access to Lucky Chinatown mall, very convenient! Parking is free for checked-in guests.

Lai Lai Hotel Manila is located in the heart of Chinatown Chinatown in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Although the equipment is outdated, after all, deep in Chinatown, surrounded by restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets opened by Chinese, it is very convenient to do everything. Hotel check-in requires a passport and vaccine card, and a deposit of 1,000 pesos, which will be refunded upon check-out. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, typical Chinese food, is good. The restaurant is open from 10:00-21:00. The price of more than 200 yuan a night is not bad, after all, there are people who can speak Chinese, which is quite convenient. Because of the volcano in the Philippines, I arrived in Jakarta on January 13 from Jakarta. Because the flight was cancelled, it was changed to January 14. However, there was a long delay when I arrived in Kuala Lumpur. There was no way but to return from Kuala Lumpur to Qingdao. Therefore, the Philippines The hotel was last checked in, can I stay for free next time? Thank you!

OK, the location is accessible to everyone

I got to stay here because I'm ordered to follow protocol entering the country. I have to be quarantined for couple of days. However, I encountered couple of issues that I think I need to address with. 1. When my flight was cancelled I wasn't given the opportunity to reschedule my date of arrival. Imagine how exhausting it is after a long flight to call agency after agency to get another connecting flights. I had to call to reschedule/cancel swab testing coz of the cancelled flight. I had to call the hotel in manila (RedDoorz near Quiapo Church) to bypass and to consider rescheduling the date of my arrival because it was so hard to get connected with an agent over the phone but it wasn't granted. So I ended up paying a night of a room without even staying in there. 2. The front desk who checked me in was rude, not even helpful at all. I asked her when I checked in if there's a WIFI. She said its in the back of my key. When I got to my room. I checked the back of my key. It's a combination of number. I know I'm not blind but it never goes through. I called her and she said that's the only password she could give me. I called her again in an hour and she keeps saying the same thing so I gave up since its 2 in the morning and I just decided to fix everything tomorrow when I wake up. 3. I called the front desk about the same issue from the evening. They said the WIFI password is only located at the back of my room key. And they said they will try to look for something else and will call me back. 2 hours passed nobody called me. I had to go downstairs regardless I'm on 'quarantine' because no one seems to be helpful at all. Caught them laughing and chitchatting in the lobby when I'm struggling to get access to WIFI to settle some things to do with appointments etc. A nice lady came to my room and help me access the WIFI. It was quick. I asked her how she did it, She said there's a different WIFI password the management just happen to change it long ago and the password at the back of my key is so outdated. So I was speechless. From the night to the afternoon I was told the same thing that it was just at the back of the key. 4. I noticed 2 small cockroaches in my room which I don't really find it disturbing but for a business a running a hotel its a big NO NO NO. 5. My second night was horrifying. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt something was crawling in my back. I was too tired and sleepy to care for it. About a couple of minutes my oranges that was just sitting in the table fell out from the plastic bag. I find it strange but I was damn tired. Later this morning I found out that there's a rat bite in my orange, my cheez whiz and even the soap that I placed in the bathroom sink had a bite on it. I called the FD and someone came in to my room. I was shocked to be asked by a guard to check if there's a visible hole anywhere in my room. He told me that how would a rat came in to my room when its all closed. I'm assuming he is not think

The staffs are really kind and accommodating. Their check in time was 2pm, but we arrived at around 11pm. I message the hotel that we will be late due to traffic and the place we're from was far, and she waited for us. The place is old but not that too old. There were stains but the place is clean. The only problem is the yellow light, it makes us feel dizzy. The main door has a double lock.
