I was in StayMalate, but I was in the hotel's room, and I was in the hotel's room. The rooftop is super nice, you can eat a curry chicken with rice for 3 or 4 euros or other dishes. You can also make yourself eat, but given the price of the prepared meals, it's a pity to eat too much cooked meal pasta as the French I've seen recently. The toilets are very clean everywhere and the bathroom is also clean every day. The hotel is a very good hotel and is very comfortable and very comfortable. The Jeepney's stops are down the street and will bring you all over Manila, and 7/Eleven everywhere. For noise sensitives, provide Quies balls because there is noise at night in the street, but it's all the same or take a bed that doesn't give on the street. Another positive point is a very large Robinson shopping centre at 500 metres where there is as much food as stores like H&M, Samsung, restaurants ... The staffs are really kind and accommodating. Their check in time was 2pm, but we arrived at around 11pm. I message the hotel that we will be late due to traffic and the place we're from was far, and she waited for us. The place is old but not that too old. There were stains but the place is clean. The only problem is the yellow light, it makes us feel dizzy. The main door has a double lock.

Walking distance to Rizal Stadium/Coliseum. Has plenty of fastfood shops around. Has it's own Mama V cafe, and several ”silog” shops accross the road. Hotel is clean, not necessarily new. I had access to Netflix, using pre-logged in account.

Excellent location of the hotel, accesible to public transpo and close to the mall, but the facilities are quite old, especially the elevator, slippers and toothbrush are not provided, no intercom inside the room and drinking water are located outside the room (refill) no bottled water inside the room, it should be considered. The front dest officer are very accomodating and approachable.

Excellent price and room despite lack of most complimentary sundries you expect from hotels. For a price of just around 15 US dollars I got a family sized suite with a double bed and a bunk bed. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, however, the property has been having problems providing toiletries. In my first visit last August, there was absolutely no toiletries provided, but in this recent visit this September, a complete set was provided. This was not such a big issue for me though, since I usually carry around my own hygiene kit. But what I keep coming back for in this property is the surprisingly excellent food they provide, which is absolute home-cooked goodness. I got to stay here because I'm ordered to follow protocol entering the country. I have to be quarantined for couple of days. However, I encountered couple of issues that I think I need to address with. 1. When my flight was cancelled I wasn't given the opportunity to reschedule my date of arrival. Imagine how exhausting it is after a long flight to call agency after agency to get another connecting flights. I had to call to reschedule/cancel swab testing coz of the cancelled flight. I had to call the hotel in manila (RedDoorz near Quiapo Church) to bypass and to consider rescheduling the date of my arrival because it was so hard to get connected with an agent over the phone but it wasn't granted. So I ended up paying a night of a room without even staying in there. 2. The front desk who checked me in was rude, not even helpful at all. I asked her when I checked in if there's a WIFI. She said its in the back of my key. When I got to my room. I checked the back of my key. It's a combination of number. I know I'm not blind but it never goes through. I called her and she said that's the only password she could give me. I called her again in an hour and she keeps saying the same thing so I gave up since its 2 in the morning and I just decided to fix everything tomorrow when I wake up. 3. I called the front desk about the same issue from the evening. They said the WIFI password is only located at the back of my room key. And they said they will try to look for something else and will call me back. 2 hours passed nobody called me. I had to go downstairs regardless I'm on 'quarantine' because no one seems to be helpful at all. Caught them laughing and chitchatting in the lobby when I'm struggling to get access to WIFI to settle some things to do with appointments etc. A nice lady came to my room and help me access the WIFI. It was quick. I asked her how she did it, She said there's a different WIFI password the management just happen to change it long ago and the password at the back of my key is so outdated. So I was speechless. From the night to the afternoon I was told the same thing that it was just at the back of the key. 4. I noticed 2 small cockroaches in my room which I don't really find it disturbing but for a business a running a hotel its a big NO NO NO. 5. My second night was horrifying. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt something was crawling in my back. I was too tired and sleepy to care for it. About a couple of minutes my oranges that was just sitting in the table fell out from the plastic bag. I find it strange but I was damn tired. Later this morning I found out that there's a rat bite in my orange, my cheez whiz and even the soap that I placed in the bathroom sink had a bite on it. I called the FD and someone came in to my room. I was shocked to be asked by a guard to check if there's a visible hole anywhere in my room. He told me that how would a rat came in to my room when its all closed. I'm assuming he is not think

This time the room that we booked— it’s telephone is out of order, the toilet has blockage, the ac in room creates statics, the lower floor creates loud noises. It was not a good experience to us. However, this is the first that this happened to us in this hotel so we just shrugged it off. Suki kasi kami dito sa hotel na ito because of its cheap price yet comforting hotel to stay in that’s why we let it slide. 😆

The configuration in the room is average, without bedside tables. WIFI is relatively slow. It will take 460ms to use WIFI in the room to hit the king of glory The room is non-smoking. Smoking has to go to the first floor, At night I just wanted to go out to smoke when someone robbed me. There is no law and order here, there is no 24-hour front desk, and no security.

Location was perfect. Right next to the LRT means that I had immediate access to the best mode of transportation around. on the ground floor outside the hotel, you can find Jollibee across the street, Mang Inasal to the right of the gate, Greenwich and Watsons at the very same building, a 7Eleven right next to the hotel, BPI across the street from Jollibee, and it's only walking distance to SM City San Lazaro. If you don't mind the noise of the train, traffic, and music softly blasting at the distance, I highly recommend this hotel for a great location. Service was also great. The first room I was assigned to had non-functioning outlets and they moved me over to the next room over. Everything was perfect, just make sure to bring your own adapters in case none of your plus fit the sockets (Parallel Outlet with Grounding). Staff is also kind, berated by another guest because they forgot about the rule of no alcohol or smoking allowed in the building. They took it like champs and I do applaud them for their quick service. Cleanliness-wise, the closet was a bit dusty, but not too much. The bathrooms may vary, but they are clean. However, during my stay, some roaches and small worms enter the bathroom, possibly through the main drain hole. On top of that, the sloping of the bathroom doesn't lead to the drain, so you get pretty big puddles even just at the sink. It's not the best, but it isn't the worst either. Otherwise, I am still thankful that there is a heater included with the showers. For the amenities, they don't offer much, apart from being close to ones that are truly good. They do provide free bottles of water, a small tube of toothpaste and some toothbrushes, and a free roll of toilet paper. Their fridge in the lobby doesn't work, and if you do have issues with anything in the room, you can simply inform the staff and they'll sort it out quickly for you. The bedding is clean, comes with 2 pillows (I stayed in a standard room with one double bed) but the mattress is a bit tough, but I quickly got used to it. Overall, I do recommend this location, just make sure to read the fine print about what you can/can't do and/or bring into the hotel, just to make sure you don't end up like those previous guests I mentioned. They do clarify there and they do also clarify when you do check-in at their kiosk. And yes, it was pretty great staying at this location. Would love to come back the next time I visit Manila.
