We stayed at Hotel Shahi Palace for 2nights & 3days (30th & 31st March 2018). It was a pleasant and a peaceful stay with a humble hospitality of the hotel staff. Climate is little hot than Delhi at this season, we found it better to stay inside the hotel as the old property used to be a bit cool from the inside, although the hotel is well equipped with all types of modern devices, still a fan is enough to keep you cool and relaxed inside than the outside. We stayed in a suite room which was quite spacious, neat and clean, a little maintenance is required here and there on the walls and roofs where we saw some patches of dampness. Hotel is decorated with natural coloured painting on the walls and roofs. To give it a traditional look some small items were kept in the veranda and inside the rooms. Rooms are equipped with modern life necessities like LCD, AC, tea & coffee maker, washroom with geyser for 24hours running hot water. Power back-up is fair enough. Rooms required three things one a telecom device one has to walk down to the reception area in need, which is just about a few steps from the rooms and second is a Dressing mirror to enhance the room decore a bit and a flycatcher to eradicate the fly and mosquito hacks, although rooms are having mosquito repellent to minimise the concern. Staffs are local people, well mannered, with good hospitality skills, Mr Vipin (Manager) was very helpful in guiding us for local sightseeing, although we were not able to visit all the places due to hot climate. Food was good, well cooked and tasty and hygienic, we packed one of the local curries while check-out to have it on way. To conclude, it's a pleasant, relaxed and a peaceful staying at the hotel with humble staff and their warm hospitality with delicious food and a beautiful traditional ambience. A little maintenance is all required to give the hotel a little uplift. We thank the hotel staff for all the hospitality and look forward to staying again.
