The Candlewood Park Beach Resort

Horrible experience. Very bad service, below average food, high priced, extremely unhygienic environment. Used plates lie outside room whole night. Dogs and cats come and lick those plates. Next day food is being served in those plates. Staff behavior very bad and unprofessional. Just not worth staying.

Candle wood beach resort is quite a famous one in ***dar***i. As we were highly satisfied last year this year too we chose to stay here. And that was a great mistake indeed. How could a place deteriorate so much in 1 year? Check in was not smooth at all as the previous boarders did not check out even by 12.30pm even though the check out time is 10am. The people in the reception were so cool about it saying.. What can we do if they don't check out... The deadliest part was the food.. I never ever had such pathetic food in my life. And so was the service. Even the most shabby beach shack would have better food and service. So... Think 10 times before booking this place.

A 2 star hotel with substandard rooms. The rooms are dark and dingy with appalling view. Basic amenities are missing in the rooms. The bedsheets are pale and yellow. Hotel reception looks like a warehouse.Location and service are good though

The resort has no sense of decency at least to receive a call for booking. On calling their provided Mobile numbers in their website for booking , none of them recieved the call in any of their numbers , neither they have this courtesy to call back. The resort administration have just advertised their resorts beautifully with attractive pictures and services, but when it comes to their booking , then none of them picks up the phone for booking. Very bad experience in initial phase .

Good Room,Good Food.Sea from lobby.Car Parking space and very helpful in spending gala night at cottage. Pet friendly.Beach side small restaurant for chill.You can order snacks on beach.Tea coffee vending m/c is on beach side corner.All types of Hard & soft drinks for customer.

I stayed 1 night in this Hotel in their Family room 2 days back and following are my observations - 1. Front office staff ( Palash ) was rude with most of the visitors, after several requests over phone to keep the room ready with neat and clean linen, clean toilets etc. though he confirmed the rooms are cleaned, however we were shocked to see the state of the room when offered. Used torn bedsheets, bed cover, used pillow cover with stains and was untidy completely full of sand. Bathroom remain uncleaned. When requested to clean it, house keeping did a bit, however they did not bother to, found completely unprofessional. 2. Over priced Hotel with inferior quality of room offered. 3. No water or little water in bathroom, it was hard for us to use it. 4.Food quality is pathetic and unhygienic. Saw huge pile of cooked rice poured over a table with flies just enjoying them before they are served to hu***s.

The hotel is very conveniently located on the beach, with easy access to it. A few staircases down, and you can straight walk on the water. Well landscaped, and great for kids - they have a nice park with swings, slide, etc. There is also a common wash area for guests coming in from beach to wash off the sand. Lot of convenient places to sit around and watch the sea. Includes a few shacks facing the sea with tables, chairs and lounge seats where you can relax. I booked the super deluxe AC room through Agoda. Got a good discount, given that regular rates (you can book directly at their website) were high. Check in at 12pm. We reached early at 11am, and they got us the room by 11:40am. Checked all our id cards (we were 4 - 3 adults including an old wo***, and 7 yrs kid). They did the same for three other check-ins that happened at the same time. Accommodated my request for ground floor room due to our elderly member. Room was very spacious and clean, and tastily decorated, Overall property had nice paintings and artkworks here and there, including an interesting rendition of "The Last Supper" at the reception. Same with the bathroom. We were 4 people, and they provided an extra bed in the night (though we did not avail it). Did not ask for wifi though (not sure if they provide). TV had good number of channels, just in case - for us it was raining most of the time, so my kid was busy with cartoons. Food quality was good, quite a bit overpriced. The curries were on the spicier side, unless you ask them to make them mild. I had to ask to get the dal fry and matar paneer to be made mild for my kid. Food was tasty. Tea was excellent. All a-la-carte, no thalis/ meals. ******* - 1. Wash basin dispenser did not work, though they later provided a dettol liquid handwash. 2. No chairs inside or outside was provided. It was a bit inconvenient eating food taken in as room service. 3. Low flow of water in the bath area tap. Can improve. 4. No hand towel provided. 5. The car parking area is separate from main property, on other side of the road. Secured area, but inconvenient to get access to car if it rains (and it rained for us!) Would love to visit again. Security (Mr. Mishra) and room service boys were very cordial and helpful.

We had a nice stay with family. Room service was very good, Gobindo helped us whenever we needed anything. Mishra ji from security was always alert and helpful. Vegetarian food was good, though the fish and the mutton lacked in freshness. Right at the beach, the hotel is an amazing place to just sit and watch the sea. I have stayed twice now, and will recommend others to stay.

The booked room was not provided. The room was dirty, full of dust and not sanitised. I had booked through GoIbibo, they did not provide any resolution, just harrassed us time and again. The reception ***ager was rude and mocked us. The door lock was broken, the washroom window was also broken, birds flew in and crapped all over the place. I had to check out one day early. GoIbibo denied refund even after promising for that day. The hotel and GoIbibo made a fool out of us.
