On the positive side: the beds were comfortable, the TV worked, it was quiet, the AC worked, the ice cube maker in the hall worked, and they had good water pressure. However, there are a lot of problems with this hotel: - either they have a bad computer system, or nobody knows how to use it. They had problems when I made the reservation, when I checked in, and when I checked out. - We had 4 people in 3 rooms. Nobody could get the WIFI to work. - There was one bottle of foam hand soap for the bathroom. It didn't work well for a shower. - the pool was closed "until further notice." the "breakfast" was bad...some stale Long Johns and cinnamon rolls, some cheap white bread for toast, a couple of dry cereals, and 1 bagel. The refrigerator had 2 home-size packages of cream cheese and 1 of margarine. No butter or peanut butter. The refrigerator also had a quart of whole milk and some orange juice. Coffee was good. The waffle maker was working, but there was no waffle batter. So, no hot food. This wasn't an inexpensive hotel, for a small Iowa town. We will probably never have another occasion to stay in Manchester, IA. But, if we do, we'll try someplace else.
